It is a really simple question, that we don't have an answer .
We know that level of DHT, higher they are, higher the chances to go bald ( if you have the genes) . Actually , the best treatment are finasteride and dutasteride ( lest forget a minute about a side effect )
But everyone have their higher hormonal levels when they are teens. So why , all that we have genetic predisposition to bald , don't start to receding while we are teens ? I my case, I started when I was 17 years old. My best friend at that age had a full head of hair, now, with 42, he is a Norwood 7 ( started to lose his hair at 32 ) . Actually, I have more hair now cause drugs than him
What if is something more than just DHT levels ? like low progesterone, or high estrogen, or whatever ? High dht levels are for sure, but again, it is a loop , cause we have the higher hormones levels when we are young . Plus, may be this can happen ( this " hormone imbalance " to any person, but if you don't have the fucked genes, you will not go bald, will not have acne, etc ) .
Any ideas ? Any study that I am not seeing ? For example , I couldn't find a single study on male pattern baldness and progesterone ( that it block both, aromatase and 5-alpha-reductase ) .
thanks
