Why Would Beard Fall If I Stopped Rogaine?

Hello guys,
I'm a 26 male, my beard is incomplete and not thick enough so I started applying Rogaine 5% foam to my beard a month ago and the results were amazing for only a one month usage, I'm planning to keep using Rogaine for the next 2 months then stop it. I have read online that like hair, beard hair that was grown using Rogaine will fall after you stop using it which makes no sense to me because I think scalp hair falls due to DHT which doesn't affect beard hair, Why would it fall then?

Another question, my scalp hair started thinning 2 years ago and forming male pattern baldness but I have never used Rogaine on my scalp hair, if I stopped using Rogaine on my beard, will I have more shedding on my scalp hair?

Rogaine doesn't do anything with androgens (DHT). It is not completely understood how rogaine (minoxidil) works, but it isn't related to androgens. When you stop using rogaine, any hair you had gained from it will be lost, regardless of where you are applying it. It will not affect areas you are not applying it, unless it went systematic. At which case, you will only lose hairs that you had gained due to the rogaine.
