WILL ANTIANDROGENS HELP THE EFFECT OF MINOXIDIL?

Two years ago.. Rogaine liquid worked like a treat

One year ago.. It worked

This year.. its barely working.. creating b**ch tiny vellus hair..

I'm thinking its cause the hairs more damaged..

Now at this stage.. I cant use propecia/dutasteride.. because of BIG BIG side effects.. and Test is doing most damage to my hair.

I want to create a ANTIANDROGEN shampoo to use everyday

Will this help the minoxidil effect?

yes, as your hair is being pummeled by dht. reducing this will extend the effectiveness of minoxidil.

tried topical spironolactone?

I agree. I used minoxidil for 4 years before starting finasteride, and although I don't believe I was losing any ground, the finasteride certainly gave the powers of the minoxidil quite a boost in the lowered DHT environment. I highly recommend you start something whether it be finasteride, dutasteride, or a topical if you can't handle internals.

Same here. minoxidil worked wonders for me, much regrowth (i was diffusely thinning in the nw2a frontal area and a bit on my crown) it gave me my nw1 back, but since i 've hit the 2 year mark (3 months ago) i'm kinda shedding and losing some ground.

Immediatelly i've added finasteride 0.33mg per day because 1mg gave me sides and changed minoxidil brand. Since then it's 2 months not much improvement yet, still shedding but it's not looking much worse. I hope finasteride will help. From the first pill it stopped some crawling sensations and itching in the male pattern baldness areas so i guess it's working. I'll give it a year.

Jebus why don't you try 0.25 or .33 mg and see what happens? You can quit anytime you see the sides appearing. Good luck

RD no it didn't receed that much but from the miniaturization it was obvious that NW2A is my male pattern baldness pattern plus some thinning on the crown. The crown regrown 100% and stays the same so far, solid and thick(knocking wood). I've lost some ground on the hairline though during this shed, it's normal NW2 with some more miniaturization than it used to be after 2 years of continuous thickening up.

I'm still somewhat above baseline on the front, and much much better on the crown. But i can see the male pattern baldness pattern right now again :S

I don't understand what you're attempting to say. Are you saying that ADDITIONAL new hair after two years is only tiny vellus stuff, or are you saying that your PREVIOUSLY REGROWN hair has now turned into tiny vellus hair? Don't you think it's important to specify what you mean, with at least some measure of precision?

BTW, it's a two-way street: antiandrogens help the effect of minoxidil, and minoxidil helps the effect of antiandrogens.

I've used it on three seperate occasions.. Thats why.. for a short time each time.
