Will Switching Back To Finasteride Regain What I've Lost On Dutasteride?

I have been on finasteride for 2.5 years with amazing regrowth. I switched to dutasteride because of a recommendation from my doctor. I stopped taking finasteride and only took dutasteride for three months, I lost a lot of hair. Then I started taking finasteride again along with dutasteride for another 3 months. Still losing hair. I've decided that dutasteride is not having a good effect on my hair and I'm not sticking around a full year. I have been off of dutasteride for 4 weeks now and still been on finasteride, still losing hair. Keep in mind that I have not seen any hint of hairloss until I took dutasteride, finasteride was working perfectly.

To recap,

2.5 years, finasteride (1 mg) only (Daily)

Next 3 months, dutasteride (0.5mg) only (Daily)

Next 3 months, dutasteride (0.5mg) and finasteride (1 mg) (Daily)

Next 4 Weeks, finasteride (1 mg) only (Daily)

I have experienced no noticeable side effects from either pill, possibly less morning wood on dutasteride, not 100% sure though

How long until Dutasteride loses its effectiveness and finasteride can starting working without interference, I'm worried dutasteride will destroy everything finasteride has brought back.
Has dutasteride ruined finasteride for me or is dutasteride just stopping the effects of finasteride?
Will finasteride help me regain most of what I've lost from dutasteride once dutasteride is out of my system?

I'm never dealt with this so I'm looking for people who have for advice.

Hey what’s your full regime? Do you use Ketaconazole? I would give it 6 months until Finasteride has the effect.

Oh and have you switched brands of Finasteride Ie, Propecia Merck or generic?
