Can red wine interfere in any way with treatment?

I find that question a bit ironic, since there have been proponents of dissolving Proscar tablets in wine, and then drinking small, metered amounts of it afterwards to get the dose down to 1 mg (or whatever smaller dose is desired). Fred Morenberg used to talk about that on alt.baldspot a few years ago. So it BETTER be ok to mix wine with finasteride! :wink:

Finasteride has been scientifically reported to make it easier to drink red wine/alcohol generally, because of enzyme action in the liver. Whether that is good or bad may be down to how much alcohol you use, how fast or slowly you drink and how healthy your liver is. Personally, I stopped drinking red wine, as I was glugging down two and occasionally three bottles a night, and it was harder to get tipsy. Then I am Irish, and we like to try to drink our reflections under the table. I drink a light cider instead, only after work.
