Hey guys, need some opinions as ive been using propecia for just over 2months now after consulting my doctor and having a blood test done. I previously used rogain for just under a year with no results and stopped that and then started using propecia. My doctor was pretty confident that i will notice results of hairgrowth after 3months but im not all that sure now because ive been shedding alot and am very confused as to what should be done now in terms of continuing with propecia and seeing what happens around the 3months mark which i will most likely. But currently it is a very frustrating wait to see what happens. Any ideas/comments will be very much appreciated. Thanks

Just stick to the treatment for at least 6 months or you will never know.

yeah, if it's regrowth u want, u really have to give it time, preferrably near 1 year. i hope you're still on minoxidil too because finasteride by itself isn't that great for regrowth, only maintenance and thickening.

im just currently using propecia but think going back on rogain as well is a good idea. Would you recomment the foam or the liquid application?

yeah i think i will get minoxidil cause this month ive noticed that ive been getting dandruff and shedding more than usual. so hopefully the minoxidil can help with the shedding and ill purchase some anti-dandruff shampoo as well. As i live in Australia i dont think the foam is available as yet but ill just get the liquid rogain for now.

You know what I am in month 15 and right now is when my temples are closing finally. I think the major regrowth happens at a year plus after a couple times you cycle through the shaft.

This gives me hope even though I'm only 2 months in! You read some of these other finasteride posts and it's nothing but sheds and no regrowth. F-ing horror stories.

yeah man so siick of the shedding and lack of regrowth. Im a couple weeks off being on finasteride for 3months. I got back on minoxidil again so see what happens with that but i guess its just a matter of taking the medication and doing the daily routines and playing the waiting game. But when i think about it im checking my hair like so many times a day in the mirror which is bringing about negative thoughts of if all this will actually work for me. see what happens i guess fingers very very crossed lol
