Would anyone be interested in a project to make RU cheaper?

I really want to put some kind of project to make RU (and/or the best hair loss treatments at the time) cheaper and more accessible to people. Would be good wouldn't it? Whether this means pulling a lab/company/chemist on board or a way of funding something new. $400 for 10g of any chemical like this is absolutely outrageous, and don't you think it would be great to form a way of supplying it cheaper? In addition, this could probably then be used in future when succeeding treatments are released, as of course RU won't be the (arguably) best topical / finasteride alternative forever!

So what do you think? This IS possible, there will be somewhere or someone in the world willing to help us make this reality!

Anyway, if you're interested then... post! lol

Hoppiiiii! ^_^

If you use 50mg to 100mg a day RU will cost US$ 2 to $4 a day.

I use 80mg per day...which cost me less than a coffee at starbucks. ANd I don't need any other drug.

This is less than the hourly minmun wage in developped countries and far from being outrageously expensive given the results.

Just because you cannot afford to spend $2 to $4 a day on hairloss treatments does not make it expensive.

I took dutasteride and it was about $2 a day also, and if you add fluridil then you are already above the daily RU costs.

Besides, RU is made in China at low labor costs and is pretty complex and costly to manufacture..I bet if a western company would make it, it will be a lot more expensive.

I do 100% see what you mean and respect your opinion El dutasteride but

a) don't you think many people would agree it's pricey
b) surely pulling the price down can only be a good thing?

Since i belong to the land of cheap medicines and generics i.e. India , i can be of some assistance.

ah good man! Do you think something could be worked out then? How would you approach doing this? ^^

I would imagine that even with RU at a quarter of the price, there is still profit to be made :)

1450 $ a year is a lot for just one drug which hasn't been approved to be safe yet.I spend only about 400-450$ a year on hairloss treatments and I am not willing to spend more than this especially on current treatments.

$2 to $4 a day for an entire lifetime is a lot of money for me.MIN,finasteride, nizoral and other supplements that I take dont come anywhere close to that amount.

I guess if there were to be enough demand for RU,the price wouldn't be as high as this.

@ hoppi , well the basic science points to finding what components are the bases of RU and if there availbility is feasible than thr shouldnt be much obstruction in forumlating RU. I am a bit busy till the end of this week, but i,ll be all at ya disposal to realise this project from next week !

Thanks man and let's see if we can put something together!

If anyone else wants to chime in or thinks they can help or contribute in any way, please do!

Of course, I'm not saying this will definitely go through and succeed but.. hey it can't hurt to try right? :)

There is a reason why its so expensive and no chemists are interested, the stuff is totally illegal to sell unless for lab research.

Good luck finding anything closer then a meth lab to help you.

I do know that :)

All you do is say it's for lab research only... lol

most people use RU because they are not happy with the sides on finasteride/dutasteride and the overall weakeness of those systemic drugs after some time, and want to switch to a drug which is more effective and a lot easier on the systemic sides.

How do you put a price on great sex and better hair ? is it worth and extra $1000 a year ?
For me the answer is clear

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but my understanding was that selling research drugs to the public comes with a free holiday at one of her Majesty's fine resorts...

Sure, I'd gladly purchase "generic", lol inexpensive Indian RU. With low labor costs, mass production, cheaper chemicals, etc. surely the cost can be substantially lowered. Send me a trial batch and I'll even get the clinical trials rolling!

If it's really as effective and side-effect friendly as everyone claims, whoever can offer an affordable version of RU to the masses will be rich.

Law-enforcement's prob. mainly concerned with mind-altering research chemicals, chemicals of interest to terrorists, potentially dangerous oral/ injectable meds. Doubt they would care much about a topical that no one but us has ever even heard of.
