Hi.

I have 2 pictures.

1st is after 6 months of minoxidil

2nd is 1 month later and added propecia for that month.

Also would love to know what you think my chances are of thickening this up?

Thanks in advance.

Uh your remaining hair grew in that month.

It's hard, be patient, but adding finasteride and taking a picture a month later is pointless.

I don't know about dutasteride, not as in I don't think you should try it, I just don't know, but at least go on nizoral as well. I put off the idea of nizoral for months and for no good reason apart from seeing re-growth and feeling temporarily happy about that, which is stupid. It's the most pleasurable hair loss treatment you can have, it's cheap, shampoo it into your hair at the start of your shower, wash the rest of you for 5 mins, then condition the nizoral out, and you only have to do this every 2 or 3 days (and it sounds dumb but it can be hard to keep track of when the last one was, and you don't want to over-do it).

Order some nizoral right now.

Really ... nothing to be happy about. Just keep your regimen, and ... pray :/
Or start dutasteride, maybe combo fina+minoxidil wont cure you.
May St Duta save you from hair-hell loss
LMFAO!
Seriously though, stay with finasteride for at least a year & keep with minoxidil. To be frank, after 6 months, i would've expected minor to do more for you.

^But you don't know what he was like before minoxidil, he posted a picture of minoxidil 6 months in, and then a picture a month later after starting finasteride.

My first run of minoxidil was good, with nothing else, but I don't think it's a guarantee of hair growth by any stretch of the imagination. Yes keep going with what you're doing, and add nizoral, for the love of gawd.

Unfortunately if it was longer
than that it probably will not grow back.

What's this based on? I have hair growing down my forehead at the central part, I also have hair growing inwards towards my eyes across my sideburns area, I have to shave it in both cases. As in, not only has it been a long time since hair grew there, but hair has never grown there.

EDIT: Just re-reading this post, it's been minimal amounts of hair, I'm not turning into a monkey or Zayn Malik, but the sideburn hair for example has come in a centimetre or 2, and my hairdresser has to shave it. The fact that they have to ask about shaving it, the last 6 months or so that I've gotten my hair cut, shows that something is happening there which hasn't happened before.

Needless to say, I have hair growing on my temples that hasn't been there in years.

6 weeks to see results?! Are you a troll? It can take 2 years to see results, maybe never, as in, just maintaining.

Do you have pictures from when you started? Like baseline pictures?

Cantloseanymore,

It just takes time. You're doing the right thing by using Finasteride.

It takes around six weeks to see results.

If you just recently lost your hair, within a few years, you can grow it back. Unfortunately if it was longer
than that it probably will not grow back.

Good luck.

It may or may not take 6 weeks to see results. Generally, you want to go with what the study says and give it 4-6 months. I would not tell anyone that finasteride will give them results in 6 weeks. Unless you mean that your hair loss may be halted/slowed down within 6 weeks, that would be true.

If 6 weeks is all it took to see results on everyone that uses finasteride, that would be a miracle drug. Hairloss cured. Anyone would actually say to give it 6-12 months.

Didn't say I was happy. Just wondered if this forum was a place that I could get some advice.

Thanks for all the comments. Appreciated.

Lose some weight and go for the buzz cut is probably my only option.

Also. Maybe I'm not a responder and this is just my destiny! :thumbdown2:

Did you take a picture before you started so that maybe we can analyze your progress with you? Sometimes getting another pair of eyes to view pictures, they can see something different.

Posting a picture 6 month into treatment, and then another 1 month after that is not really helping us help you, and ultimately you are going to just get speculative posts. We are in the dark here about your month 1-5 status, we can't really give you any feedback on whether the treatment has been a success or not.

If you have decided on your own that you are not a responder and you are going to buzz it and don't actually need any real feedback, then good for you for making that decision, and good luck, sincerely.

Unfortunately didn't take any pictures at the start. Also I apply hair fibres so haven't really monitored much but will post a pic once a month from now on as will be good to see if anything changes.

Such an embarrassing and emotional issue but guess I don't have to tell you lot that haha.

Was thinking a while back about a hair system but not brave enough!
