little hairs on the front of the hairline, that were much shorter before are now longer now. almost as long as the regular hairs behind them. and now there are smaller hairs in fornt of those.

.question.
when your hairs are minuturizing do they also become unable to grow longer or do they just become thinner in width or circumfrence..i guess?

I've experienced the "phenomenon" you've described here on my hairline as well. I had (and still have) short, thinner hairs where there was once cosmetically normal hair. These hairs will only grow so long, and will grow back even if I trim them.

However, once I started my regimen, some of these smaller hairs returned to normalcy. So it is to your benefit to pay attention to them.

They will grow but never as long as a non DHT affected hair will. What happens is the follicle starts shrinking producing a thinner hair each time, also the growth phase is shortend. So while a normal hair follicles growth phase lasts for around 2-3 years a DHT affected follicle will only grow a hair for a few months then fall out again only to produce a even thinner hair. This is why when you see these small thin hairs they are never very long because the average length hair grows each month is only 1-2 centimeters.
