C'mon guys am I the only one that can see through this. First off lighting does not resemble anything like outdoor lighting. 2nd and the most obvious, look at the before...His hair was combed back and away to expose the bald areas. Then he brushed everything forward with his hands..ala...combover.
The video quality is poor at best.
Sorry if I'm sounding like a downer....Been down the "shake on" concealer route and it doesn't fool anyone.

I gotta disagree with the last part. I have been using Toppik and Dermatch for some time now and, if used sparingly, can work wonders.

I had some pictures of my results with them here: http://www.hairlosstalk.com/discussions ... c&start=10

but they seemed to have diseappeared.

SD I remeber those pictures and they looked great but none of them were taken outside or had the best lighting.
Pictures can be misleading. I have a couple pictures taken with Toppik in and it looks great in bathroom lighting with a camera. Here's a pic of it

The minute I went into a sunlit room with a mirror it looked rediculous.

I guess it also depends on how much hair you have and the way you style it. Still even just a little bit of Toppik and most likely any "shake on" concealer is noticeable on the hairline if you're moderately thin. IMO it looks like sawdust.
BTW there's no more attached picture feature on this site thanks to all the spammers out there. You can still link to the pictures with a URL

I see what you are saying but it all goes back to moderation. Naturally, the hairline will always show a concealer. The farthest anyone could ever DREAM of going down to the hairline is 1/2 inch.

Concealer can be helpful to many, but not all. I never thought that those pictures would have been seen by so many and that thread get so popular. I have looked in a mirror right beside open windows and the little bit that I apply looks fine. Naturally, if you goop it on it will appear fake.

About the spammers...all I can say is that I damn sure don't blame HairLossTalk.com for imposing that rule.

I find that these cosmetic cover ups are not so good if you have long hair like you. My hair has got quite long and toppik looks like sh*t now.

Not to hijack the thread but I watched that Nanogen video. The guys hair in the video is just like mine. My hair may be a little curlier but the thinning and all the hair lines are the same.

How would I describe my hair? I always say a Norwood 3 with thinning?? Is this correct? Or is this called diffusing?
