I guess there's a reason why balding guys are so much more likely to sport beards, because it DOES compensate for hair loss to some extent. Especially if you have thick dark stubble like Jason Statham. Imagine balding as a pale guy like me with only about 20 hairs on each cheek, with a sparse nearly invisible white-blonde moustache and chin hairs. The lumberjack look isn't an option. Going bald entails eventually ending up looking like voldemort.

It truly is terrible pale + bald and it's over no woman will ever find you attractive. However even me that I have heavy facial hair will take a significant hit if I go bald like drop 2 points or something. All in all it's over if you're sub7 and not NT anyway.

I grow a beard once in a while. People (men) complemented me on it. They thought it looked great. They started to mention it when they saw it.

However, no girl said anything. I don't think girls care about a beard. Never heard of any girl say something positive about facial hair. It can't compensate for hair on your head, not even a little. The only thing you need is hair on your head. Then one can truly control his appearance.

Same here, the average 15 year old has more facial hair growth than me. Going for that buddhist monk look I guess.
If you have it, hair is the one thing you can control about your appearance. Facial hair too, to a lesser extent. You can express personality with it. Hard to imagine a more bland look than bald and beardless.

Well I go for the full cancer patient look. My cheeks are slightly sunken, and extremely skinny shoulders. I recently buzzed my head, because I felt too lazy to get a haircut. Plus I don't really think my regime is working so might quit soon.

I am not fan of full beards but stubble looks are really great option for many balding/nw0 guys.
Makeup makes girls pretty.

To the op, I don't think I've shaven my face clean in years, I'd be devastated if I was balding without a beard, my head is wayyyy too big for that lol.
