Hey guys.
Well first of all I'm 20 years old, I first noticed some changes in my hair when I was 16. Over the course of 3 years my hair was loosing density all over the scalp very slowly, and turning into a mature hairline, which it still is to this date. (I'm a NW1,5) It didn't really bother me, until now.
Suddenly when about the time I turned 20, the hairloss began to increase rapidly, not receding, but the density has very much decreased! And it's freaking me out, I think about it everyday. I got the hairloss from my father which I don't have contact with. My moms side of the family has no baldness, which makes me even more sad, that I have to deal with this alone, at such a young age..
My temples are just thin white hairs as of now, they are still there, which makes me hope that I can recover them. But I'm quite sure they would have been gone male pattern baldness or not, because all males in my family are a norwood 2.
I once took capsules for diffuse thinning, but only vitamins and minreals where in those, it actually helped a bit, but was too expensive.
So my question is what can a young man (NW1,5)/diffuse do about it? What do you recommend? I did want to do something about it at age 18, but since I thought I was to young, I didn't want to mess up my hormones. But now that I'm 20, is it safe to start propecia?
Please help me, I'm really desprate, I need to hold on to the hair I have, which is still quite a lot!
At this rate I might be completely bald at age 30 at best, and would be forced to shave my head at age 25
