The Yuva Biosciences team, led by Keshav K. Singh, Ph.D is bringing the cutting edge of mitochondrial science to make aging easier.

Our mission is to use mitochondrial science to develop cosmeceuticals and pharmaceuticals that can provide Youthfulness for LifeTM

http://yuvabio.com/

They published paper in Nature:

Reversing wrinkled skin and hair loss in mice by restoring mitochondrial function

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41419-018-0765-9

Currently they are screening compounds which can boost mitochondrial function and hence prevent hair loss or restore lost hair, and restore wrinkled skin to the normal state.

What is your opinion about this company? Is this another company like “we can grown three more hairs“ or they have big potential in future?

Exciting stuff but anti-aging doesn't equate to anti hair loss.

Also just a sort of "concept" in this paper, they're using gene editing to show the effects of depleted mtDNA and then restore function. They still have to actually develop a compound that can accomplish the same for humans, has to be effective as a topical, keep up funding etc etc.

I think it'll be a long time before we see a product from these guys and androgenetic hair loss is not their focus.

Keshav K. Singh did interview with FollicleThought guy and he said that they are working on cosmeceuticals as well as drugs to treat hair loss.

Yes and it's based on their mtDNA research which combats age related hair and skin issues, we don't know what overlap there might be with Androgenetic Alopecia though. Also no confirmation that any of their candidate compounds have shown any effectiveness. I'm just saying there's a very long way to go for our purposes.

Its pretty far out in the future, even if they start tomorrow with research on humans, and then clinical trails.

Replicel is also working on ageing, and released their first clinical trails. which is of course the safety trail, they state it might be working their technique.

But papers done on mice is for is me research that is very very far away in the future if they even have the funding to go on with it.
