Have to stop minoxidil after 4 years :(

Hi iv bein on regaine 5% for over 4 years now never had any problems with it and probably took that for granted as i used to just apply it without even bothering to measure out how much i put on,i used to just spray it all over and rib it in to the whole of my scalp definitely alot more than they advise you to apply but i have medium length hair so i just wanted it to reach the scalp,anyways out the blue one day i started to get really lightheadedness i felt really strange i couldnt consentrate on anything and just felt very faint constantly,now i didnt no what it could be and just thought it was an ear issue but i have bein to the docters an number of times and they wernt sure what it was but gave me antibiotics to see if it was a sinus infection possibly but they said my ears were fine,anyway I decided to drop the minoxidil for a week as the antibiotics didnt seem to be helping and as soon as i did that the sides went away!! I have tried applying minimal amount once aday but it still dosent help i still have this dizziness and oncedropped it seems to go away again i m absolutely devastated and worried about the dred shed but i cant live with constant dizziness! Does anyone else no why id get this after 4 years or any help? Sorry for the essy thanks chris

Checked your blood pressure? Mine goes down because of minoxidil. But it does not bother me very much. I would experiment another bit if I were you...

Yeah had it checked a number of times and its fime this is what i don't understand iv tried thinking its my sinues or maybe there actually is something weong with my ears just to try avoide stopping rogaine but everytime i stop it after two days the sides start to fade away,its horrible when i feel lightheaded i jist dont want to do anything just lie down and its constant not just abfew minutes after applying,do you think iv just used to much and abused it over time amd just become super sensitive to it ? Well indeed the recommended dose is 2 ml per day, but if you have long hair I doubt you really had much more in your scalp over the years, although you did use much more.
I would try this before quitting:
- try foam rather than liquid (or vice versa)
- try to really a stick to 2 ml
- try a different brand
- try 2%

What sort of shed am I exspecting is it goin to be hell ? So worried as to whats to come is it garnteed that ill

Are you currently trying or have tried Finasteride? It may be a solid replacement, especially before you lose any gains you made with minoxidil.
