Dr. George Cotsarelis discovered that physical disruption of the skin, under the appropriate circumstances, can lead to follicle neogenesis. After the epidermis is disrupted in the skin, re-epithelialization occurs. This research project aims to test whether Minoxidil performs better when applied at a pivotal point after skin wounding. A new device is under development to handle this process safely and effectively.
