Who Is Hair Loss Worse For? Ugly Or Handsome

Controversial one here:

-Is it worse to be ugly and balding because now you have very little chance with women?

-Or is it worse to be attractive and balding because you know what its like to have beautiful women and be admired and now that is fading?

Like, I've always thought it must have been easier for partick stewart to lose his hair over jude law. Because lets face it, jude law was one of the most handsome men around - that must have been very hard to lose that beauty. Whereas Patrick stewart was never good looking, and the bald head has, if anything, made him stand out more.

Probably whoever lost the most attractiveness "points".

If a 4/10 goes to a 3/10 when bald it's not as bad as a 9/10 going to a 6/10.

But if a 4/10 goes to a 1/10 and a 9/10 goes to a 7/10 then it's probably worse for the ugly guy.

Then again it depends on what you mean. Life will almost always be better for the good looking guy, even though balding might have more of a significant impact.

It is irrelevant who has it worse. The only thing that matters is how much it bothers you as an individual. Our willingness to empathize with others shouldn't rely on on our own assessment of the enormity of their problem. It should instead rely on the pain that they are experiencing. I wish people who don't see baldness as a problem would instead focus on the amount of mental pain it causes to people who experience it.

Didn't nameless(I think it was him) already start a thread like this?

The guy who's just above average in looks and doing well because his looks are more than good enough.

He goes from a satisfying life to possibly being repulsive to women.

The 6/10 guy who becomes a 3/10 due to hair loss and exaggerated facial features that makes him look like an alien. It can happen, and I imagine the devastation.

This is the kind of guy who loses the most.

Good-looking guys like Kelly Slater or Billy Zane go from being gods to still being in a pretty good place, 9/10 to 7/10 or they become above average themselves. They don't lose their ability to get love, a good social life, employment perspectives, etc.

The easiest is for the short ugly out-of-shape 4/10 who becomes a 2/10, his quality of life isn't going to change much.

Pretty much nothing before in terms of dating prospects, and nothing after.
I'm inclined to agree with you.

But its unfortunate because a lot of people on here are probably 5 or 6s

I think most women considered me an 8/10 with hair and being in shape. without it, I will probably be 5/10. devastating when it happens at 34 and you're single.

A 5 isn't so bad.

Could you date a 5 in the looks department as well?

The good looking guy just has to grow the beard stubble and shave or buzz the head, the ugly guy has nothing going for him.

I get what you're trying to ask, is it better to once have it and know what someone is missing or to never have it living life not knowing.

I still wonder what it would feel like to be good-looking and live in god-mode for years, but then losing everything and living knowing that you won't live those experiences again. I would probably feel even more miserable than I actually feel.

I don't know... it's a good question.

Haha exactly - if you were good looking and hair loss really effected your looks it would be so depressing!

I guess its the same with women - say the hot cheerleader getting fat is worse then a nobody plain jane getting fat.

I know longer have any need for women. I don't feel this way out of bitterness, regret or insecurity... I just simply think I would be happier alone.

What does a 5/10 even look like?
These women are around the 5 mark for me:

These 5s are just about average women you see on the street. Probably married to slightly overweight, balding men, with a steady job.
