Anybody Ever Try Using Fluridil (eucapil)?

All the threads I find on Fluridil are super old. Does anybody have experience with this drug?

I can find very few testimonies regarding its effectiveness. The few I do find are usually pretty invalid because the reviewer was also on multiple other treatments (finasteride, minoxidil).

I just received my first box, shipped from the Czech Republic. It was $50 for a 1 month supply. Very pricey.

I'm going to give it a go for 6 months and see what happens.

At this point I'm still not convinced Eucapil isn't just an elaborate scam. The research and researchers appear to be legit (even found one of the developers on LinkedIn), but I think there are two possible scam scenarios here: 1) The researchers overstated the effectiveness of the drug in vivo and the drug doesn't actually do anything for hair loss 2) The company that now owns the rights to produce fluridil, isn't actually putting any fluridil in the ampuole and are instead just selling isopropanol at $1/ml. I'm really tempted to get one of these things HPLC'd.

In addition to applying Eucapil to my scalp every night, I'm also applying a little bit to a small section on my beard. If the substance is actually antiandrogenic, I should see that area on my beard start to thin out. If nothing happens after 6 months I think that would be pretty definitive evidence this stuff is crap.

I tried it years ago. I don't think it helped. Take pics and keep us updated. Good luck.

I will take close-up before/after pictures of the section of my beard. I don't think pictures of my hair will be useful because my hair is medium length and I have no plans to cut it short for the purpose of photos.

Interestingly, the patent for Fluridil is going to expire in May 2020 (4 months from now - The drug has been on patent for the last 20 years!). I wonder if any other company will start to produce it.

Figured I'd post an update. I've been on Fluridil (Eucapil) only for two months now, using 1 ampuole/day. I've placed three orders and have had no trouble getting the stuff shipped from Germany into the USA.

I apply Fluridil all over the top of my head because I am a diffuse thinner. I actually find it really easy and convenient to apply. It isn't greasy like minoxidil (which I used in the past) and the 2ml dose makes it easy to cover the entire scalp. It drys completely in 5 minutes or so.

I have had no side effects. Libido is good, morning wood every day, etc. When I was on Finasteride, I lost most of my libido and all of my morning wood about 3 weeks into treatment and they didn't return back until I stopped taking it.

On the downside, it does not seem that my hair as improved at all. 6 weeks into treatment, around March 1 2020, I started shedding massively, just like I did pre-finasteride. As of today I am still shedding like a dog.

It is important to know that I stopped taking Finasteride in mid-November 2019. My recent and dramatic increase in shedding might be due to the fact that I've been off Finasteride for many months now and the miniaturization has finally caught back up. The shedding is not necessarily a result of Fluridil.

If one thing is clear, at this point Fluridil has not done enough to prevent shedding. I will give it another few months. If nothing good happens I will drop treatment and try RU.

Note: There is another website out there, https://eucapil-shop.com that seems to have popped up recently. It reads like a scam so be careful if you choose to order this stuff. Make sure to order from the legit website. (I hate how sketchy and scammy the whole hairloss alternative-treatment industry is)

Does anyone know how this stuff (being an anti-androgen, obviously requiring clinical trials and all that jazz) made it to market so quickly & easily yet things like CB have been taking more than 10 years?

Also who the hell is putting money into this stuff (investors) and how come potentially effective antiandrogens can't get financial backing for coming to market (because of supposedly not giving viable regrowth) yet this crap does? What the hell.

Fluridil didn’t get FDA approval. They just got whatever the Czech equivalent is.

FDA approval is what takes forever.

If you read the clinical trials on fluridil, they were super minimal compared to the phased study process required by the FDA.

Anyways, here is a month 4 update. Still sticking to the routine. No results or side effects that I have noticed.

Unfortunately I corrupted the experiment a bit and added 30mg RU about 7 weeks ago. However, the fact that my hair is continuing to shed and thin indicates that neither fluridil or RU is doing anything yet.

You shouldnt indicate the shedding as hairloss. Shedding is something thats likely going be happening for a long time with hairloss treatment. I never stopped shedding. And i regrew hair, while shedding hair. And whenever i did something that worked even a bit, it makes me shed for months and months.
Theres a chance at this very moment the fluridil is working and is the reason you are shedding. Not because you are losing hair.
I dont know how bad your hair situation is, but if its bad and thin, you should be able to detect changes on your hairline or your hair density by simply looking at it.

I just ordered from that website you noted. Looks like the site was created 4/2019. Googled to see if anyone been scammed and nada in search results. I will let you guys know.

I've ordered from eucapil-shop.eu and all was good but due to covid-19...there shipping is way more due to change of carrier which I opted for the other site. We shall see!

Yeah that's the problem with obscure treatments. You never know when they will become hard to get.

How long have you been using Eucapil and do you think it has helped at all?

i also use eucapil, 2 month already, also noticed shedding but all stuff that works does it....
no side effects, some hair strength. but now there is no alternative to eucapil in my case cause i had sides from finasteride
it's simple, everybody see the effect of finasteride+min so i was prescribed regeus(instead of min)+eucapil(instead of finasteride/duta)
i will post results after 6 months.
you need to give it like 6 month minimum to make any statement....better 1 year!
