hi brah, is there a risk of acromegaly and rhynophyma with long term usage of 1.25 mg oral minoxidil? this scared me to death

5mg was well tolerated in people that were given it, i don't think you have much to worry about at 1.25mg.

Sometimes you gotta ignore MPMD, that person will be the first and last to experience those sides. Keep taking your M candies until your heart stops, that should be your bigger concern.
i am already on dutasteride + topical what would i could einstein?

I wouldn't use oral minoxidil personally because it's a blood pressure pill and once you get on those, I've heard, it's not recommended you stop (or at the very least, wean off them very slowly). But if I've learned anything researching hair loss online for the last 10-15 years, it's don't believe everything you read online. I'm not a doctor and neither are 99% of people on this forum. So relax. There's lots of crap on the internet.

With that said, if you have concerns, speak to your doctor. I've asked my doctor questions that I've 'researched' online only to find a totally different answer. I'm assuming you got oral minoxidil from a doctor/GP? If so, you should be okay but please do talk to your doctor about any concerns and don't take medical advice from a random forum online.

Doctors and dermatologists are usually clueless when it comes to hair loss.

I agree doctors but isnt it the job of a dermatologist to know about hair loss.

1.25mg is the dosage for women. To answer the previous question by someone.

No less than 5mg. Unfortunately for hairloss you’ve only got so much time before your fucked. Don’t waste 6months on 1mg. If your healthy and have blood work checked, maybe even check family history about heart attacks. 5mg minimum.

I have been using minoxidil for 2 years. The best place to get Minoxidil is from KEEPS. They provide the best minoxidil as the company is for years.

hey bro, dr sergio vano recommended me to start with 1.25 mg this is too low for you? even 0.625 can do the trick apparently

For me personally yes, but what’s for me may not be for you! Start low see how you feel, be cautious bro but don’t be scared. I say this every post.. everyone’s different we all react differently to each drug. I actually know a chick that takes 2.5mg everyday.

see how you go mate, check you bp and heart rate occasionally. Maybe blood work if you feel inclined.

Anyone is in here heard of or used something called Capilia Longa??

Its being used a lot to help grow beards as a natural minoxidil if you will. Wondering how good it really is.

He is a member here, made a thread, he got great results, shame he started trying to make money off it. All he does is use finasteride and dermaroll before applying minoxidil...nothing groundbreaking.

He was very reluctant to share his regime. Kept refering me to his website to pay for some sh*t.

Hes basically got a perfect hairline back from being seriously receded and thinned out. I cant believe he didnt have a hair transplant for that hairline

He was an amazing responder to finasteride if i remember right, the minoxidil was just the icing on the cake. It is not common to get the sorts of results he did sadly even if you do follow his regimen.

eyelashes are growing like crazy, nose hair and eyebrow hair also!

my forehead has more lines on it, never noticed them before or maybe there just more pronounced. night sweats, these are new. Nosebleeds as soon as I get into a shower(most showers)

Haha sounds a bit heavy mate. The nosebleeds are worrying. Must be from thin blood. Interesting to see if they stop.

Lines on the forehead - i see a lot of comments about collagen depletion bcos of oral min. Sounds similar.

No comment on the part we all do this for - any change to the hair growth?
