Is this male pattern baldness or something medical?

I’m am a 34Y/O with zero family history of male pattern baldness, and I have always had a lot of hair.

Over the last 3 weeks, I have been shedding hair like crazy. It started mid October. If I simply run my hand through my hair , I’m guaranteed to have 5-6 hairs on my hand every time. In the shower they come out even more. I went to a dermatologist on Friday (11/3). She said it wasn’t male pattern baldness, and gave me mometasone furoate to use twice a day.
I’m gonna attach two pictures one from Sept 19th, and one from today. The difference is insane. The dermatologist told me that the amount I’m shedding is not in-line with typical male pattern baldness and may be from a vitamin deficiency. My dad has a full head of hair at 64, and my mothers dad had a full head of hair when he died at 70. I’m starting to get worried something is wrong, and may even go to ER tomorrow for blood work as I don’t have insurance.

My hair IS NOT wet in that photo. My hair is so thin, I have hairs all over my bed shower, sink, cell phone.you can see my scalp in several locations in the mirror now. All in around 35 days. Any help would be appreciated

You have to start by lowering DHT to scalp. I use Duasteride in liquid form. You can take it internally or topically or both.
Peptide Warehouse has cheap price. Further you can topically use RU 58144 which blocks all androgens. Minoxidil Max has that. At that point it’s up to you, but you will be already ahead of most

What is DHT , and how do I lower it? Where do I get this stuff? I don’t have insurance.

It doesn't look normal. Also if you don't have insurance then I don't know what your options are to get on Finasteride. Also, do your research. DHT is a type of Testosterone that your prostate produces. You make more of it the older you get, and that's the chemical that attaches to the vulnerable hair follicles and slowly chokes the life out of them. Finasteride stops your prostate from producing so much DHT. DHT blockers can be applied directly to the scalp to chemically react with the DHT to turn it into something else or protect the follicle by "blocking" the DHT. You should see a DR.

That’s normal? To thin that much in a month? Where do I get these things for a regimen?
Given the timeframe, I think your dermatologist is right. probably not male pattern baldness. Not DHT related. Nobody progresses like that in a month. Are you thinning in the back and on the sides as well?

Finasteride is a 5AR inhibitor. It blocks the 5-alpha reductase enzyme from converting Testosterone to DHT. DHT is not directly produced by the prostate.

A little hair regrowth or shedding makes huge difference in how hair looks. Your hair is thinning on very top of skull, which is typical. I think lack of blood flow to this area. The good news is you still have a lot of good active follicles in these areas.
So you need a regimen..Many in these forums take the typical protocols & the usual report is after a while.. they don’t work what should I do? I have access to most all protocols & I must report most do not work…I let my hair grow for about 3 months & get a haircut & then evaluate if there are any positive areas of regrowth.
