If I could do it over again, I probably wouldn't have stopped minoxidil completely. I'd slowly ween off of it over the period of few months, e.g. 2x a day->1x a day -> a few times a week -> etc. and try to find the minimum minoxidil app that would provide maintenance w/ minimal side effects. I...
For what its worth I started on minoxidil 5% for about a year before adding finasteride. After 8 months of finasteride, I decided to give up on minoxidil due to it being annoying to apply and because I thought I was getting eczema related side effects from it (aside from the insane scalp irritation I started getting...
I recently ordered Proscar from United Pharmacies (http://www.unitedpharmacies.com) and noticed that my pills appear to be manufactured in Argentina (or at least packaged for them). For those that have ordered Proscar from them... were yours from Argentina as well? I'm a little nervous since...
In Nov 2004, I placed 30 tab order of proscar from 111drugstore.com and received it in <10 days.
At the end of Feb 2005, I placed the same order from them and after 19 calendar days have yet to receive my order. I'm a little concerned since I'm going to run out of proscar after 3 more...

f***. I just reordered from them yesterday. The first batch I got from them appeared to match the description according to that website. My pills came in 2...
Hah, I posted the same issue a while ago. I couldn't figure it out... I tried altering the time that I applied minoxidil in the PM (i.e. 4+ hours before sleeping vs. 1 or 2), using nizoral, shampooing in the PM before putting it on, wearing a thing on my head to help prevent the scratching/bleeding...
Dude, you'll never be 100% satisfied unless you get a prescription and go to your local drugstore. What if I had responded saying "yeah, I bought from 111drugstore.com and I'm starting to see regrowth"? Would that make you feel better? But what if I'm really a Merck salesguy just trolling...
I bought from 111drugstore.com and well, I haven't seen results yet. Unless you count even more shedding and thinning. I'll stick it out for a year and see how it goes. I also did notice a minor change in sexual function, but it wasn't significant enough for me to stop taking it. And...
well i'm one week into the laser comb and i've got back my minoxidil to 1 application a day, mainly because it gets in the way of styling my hair each morning. I'm still shedding like a mofo, and the majority of the hairs I lose appear to be new hairs... as in the tip starts off really thin and...
another one...
although for me, its not so much about the jealousy... I'm just annoyed at how my hair loss affects my every day life. For example, anytime I need to wear a hat, beanie, helmet, etc., my hair is ruined and it can't be seen again until I wash or style it. Basically if you see me...
I don't believe finasteride causes more shedding than minoxidil. Why? Because I started finasteride 5 days before you did and I was on minoxidil 5% for just over a year at that point. I hadn't really noticed a major shed w/ minoxidil compared to the one I'm experiencing now with finasteride (which started about 2 months in). I...
yay or nay? I'm starting my third month of finasteride and past 1.2 years on minoxidil and I'm shedding like crazy. My hair (diffuse, hairline intact) is noticably worse than ever. I know I need to be patient but this is friggin depressing. Anyway, I'm tempted to buy the Hairmax Laser Comb from...
I ordered from them a few months ago and I'm pretty much in the same boat. The packaging and pills look real (not that I have the real thing to compare to), and the side effects (as negligble as they are) feel real too, although that could be psychological as well :?
2 months is too early to notice any visible gains... you're going to have to wait for at least 6 months to a full year before you can really tell if anything has changed.
The shedding may indeed be caused by the minoxidil, which may actually be a good sign. Search for the thread/FAQ about...
