It is, it blocks 90% of 5ARII and even the other 2 types. But as you know, DHT is not the ultimate cause of ANDROgenetic Alopecia. The fact, why man lose hair, is, that the follicles, or the tissue is just genetically too sensitive to androgens.
TO ALL ANDROGENS.

Now, it's your job to make them stop working (on the scalp) and you finished it with male pattern baldness.

Remember; castrated men don't go bald. Simple: castrate your scalp.

It's not only DHT, it's even-more as well T and many others...
What is your plan then?

I mean to hold him over publically until he gets regrowth, the concealer with that length of a buzz would look decent.

hi i am french and i am taking finasteride i have a question do you think finasteride is sufficient for genetic alopecia?

and how to remove dht in the scalp?
Can't remove it. Maybe duta oral+topical, but oh boi, thats rough. Next step is blocking androgen receptors on scalp and even next step estrogens on scalp. :')

Ok Baldcafe lmao. Enjoy looking like a pale egg.
I have a full head of hair and pale will never be an option for me.
I’m not a fan of bald cafe either.
Treatments can be used while rocking a buzz cut. It’s more effective for topicals and you would see regrowth with finasteride sooner, not to mention no stress when you shed. I’d always recommend that. However this guy has clearly stated that he doesn’t want to treat his hair loss. He isn’t pale like you, so perhaps a buzz would work. Either way his diffuse loss is going to get worse quickly. No treatments. Buzz cut! And women don’t prefer seeing blatant balding over a confident buzz. That’s pure denial.
i buzzed it to 6mm, crown still looks like sh*t under light, but i dont have anxiety problems, what about 3mm? would be better?

Take it shorter, bro. Your crown loss will blend in with at 3mm. Try it!

Why not shave your head while you start treatment. It will give you peace of mind-- especially at 18. Thats way too young to be worrying about that all the time and looking in the mirror. Hop on finasteride when you turn 19, until then-- buzz it. Use minoxidil. Id say look into RU maybe, but you're so young, I might encourage you to avoid in-- in case it did go systematic. Bust just try to breathe and live ur life

The confidence meme is bullshit unless you rock a literal combover. Just buzz the sides and back in a fade style and grow a heavy stubble. Looks cooler than a plain buzzcut.

He is too young to walk around with a shaved head like a monk, pretty silly while he still has most of his hair.

Digital pics directly from above the head and up close isn't how ppl irl see you all the time. Yes it looks a bit better buzzed that way but from every other angle longer hair with buzzed sides looks better.

No. finasteride blocks only 50% or less dht in scalp. You can buy powder/bulk of the stuff and mix it togetger by your own.
