To anyone reading this, this is why you stop visiting forums when you start taking finasteride. Im not sure if it is even a good idea to come back after a while to update your situation.
Also OP you basically did nothing if you stop now:

This guy had massive sheds at 5month mark and his hair is great now 7 months in. And you are 3 months in, you have 9 months to go OP.

It’s not the results thing. I honestly think finasteride shed is over for me and my hair is back at baseline again, shedding has stopped. Im more concerned of the sexual side effects i am experiencing like erection quality.

I wish I could afford gene testing it sounds expensive. I would honestly love to stay on finasteride but yesterday I felt some sexual sides. I’m not sure if it’s normal and they eventually subside. Would doing 3x 1mg finasteride a week probably reduce sides?

Sorry but I think you should switch to topical finasteride instead. It's really not a hassle if you care about your hair. I use topicals every night and it takes 1 minute to apply and they dry fast.

Do you ever take any directly from the front pulled back? Directly from each side pulled back (showing ear) and directly from the top down?

Honestly, those up close pictures, from especially those angles with the curve of heads/foreheads always exaggerates anything....even in people with zero loss.

So You’re saying the way im taking these pics makes it look worse then it really appears to be?

Good chance of it. You should actually take mainly 4 pictures to compare your hair line, as they will show your hairline and show how it lines up with your sideburns/ears/eyebrows/etc. Any other angles are just extra. Your pictures seem to be good quality with good light.

So just take one directly from right side with the hair pulled back and pushed behind your ear, show at least part of the ear. Take one the same way directly on the left side. Take one from the front, eyebrows included. And take one directly from the top down. You can either raise your eyebrows for all these or leave them down. Make sure they are in the same lighting. Then take them every 1 to 3 months for comparisons. Try not to take them anymore than that or you can drive your self crazy.

And of course snap one of your crown too.

I told you before that it looked like you were thinning in the crown area only in that one photo. Have you been to a doctor for a live in person examination?

So I shouldn’t really worry about my hairline at all? That’s where im most concerned. I am in the process on getting med insurance here it’s taking forever. This forum has been a great way to get advice meanwhile.

You should not worry about your hair as much as you do. You will still be a full head when you reach @irishpride86 age. I told him the same thing when he was about your age and I was not wrong.

Cutting back on finasteride only 3x a week. I think I’m starting to get sexual sides. Hopefully it’s just mental though.

Just think of it this way dude without finasteride you might end up in a position where you don't get to use your c*** at all

By baseline I mean the ones from when you were 18. Not quite there yet. But definitely improved from before you were on finasteride. Stay the course
