I don’t think it’s a person to person thing. When you take it orally, it goes through first pass through the liver. This does not happen when it is applied topically. This means it’s not a person to person thing; it’s a biological process.
Some people have higher sulfotransferase activity. I checked my SULT1A1 gene actually on 23andme and all of them were GG instead of AG which studies claim means a higher sulfotransferase acitivity on average

Yet I still don't know if I happened to be an ideal topical responder would oral still outdo it if do that's pretty insane... there are lots of people online who claim oral didnt work for them

@JaneyElizabeth thoughts on it always being more effective?

It's not possible topical could be more effective for some people?

I might do this cover both bases
That's what I recommend.

I have seen ads for something that either increases sulfurotransferase or that contain it for sale but I am not certain if they have made it to market yet but I know I have seen threads on here about new companies doing that. I assume it would be combined with topical to make topical work better but the costs as I recall were about $50 a month which is far, far more than drinking a few drops of topical min daily or using loniten. The problem with loniten is that it is hard to get without a prescription and my vendor doesn't offer it. Drizzling topical is easier than swallowing pills but somewhat less precise than taking whole pills unless the pills are scored. The other thing is that say two drops of topical used orally is about 1.5 mg say so it gets hard to dose below that and oral min can work all the way down to 0.25mg, at least for females, who usually use 25 mg of spironolactone as well at standard dosages.

Yeah but, I've heard people say that many times that 2ml minoxidil is equivalent to 1.5mg oral (depending on the percentage of systemic absorption)

But, doesn't the topical have a local effect + a systemic effect that would mean theoretically topical 2ml beats 1.5mg at least for good responders?
