The expert will tell you the following:

1) You’re hair looks fine now.
2) There is no way of knowing whether you will go bald.
3) Get on finasteride and/or minoxidil if you want a scientifically proven chance of maintaining your hair.

Nothing more, nothing less.

actually now that ive looked at the dm he said he wanted to get on finasteride and i told him to do so even for a peace of mind if everything goes okay with the derm that he said he was seeing,

dermatologists also sometimes tell 16 or 17 year olds with norwood 2 that they are not balding. Best to take everything said by anyone with a grain of salt and make your own decision. Your hair right now looks good and if you are indeed thinning (i do not think so) it looks very maintainable.

Looks like greasy hair to me. I think everyone who puts oil in their hair and stands under light will look like they’re thinning. And like Ritchie said I think your head is shaped in away that isn’t typically balding.

But if you’re insistent on going on prevention drugs id talk to a derm and get assessed first.

I appreciate ALL your answers and different opinions guys, though i believe there is no correlation between one's headshape, width of galea and hairloss(alopecia),but its a Nice theory, its Just my opinion.

I Hope i am not balding, but i have been noticing my hairline thinning over the last the years and my hair being thin overall IS really impacting my self steem and seeing my 32yo brother with a nw3.5 Pattern and some diffuse thinning really scares me,cause as you guys can see,i can not pull off the bald look without looking like a f*****g a T,so losing my hair is a no no at ALL.

Just in case,i Will Hop on finasteride, maybe big 3,or only finasteride not sure yet

Please please please do not listen to this dude or Richie. This is why I’m a dick to them. They galea thing is a completely made up thing by THEM. There is not one doctor who says this, it’s not even a thing. You may be thinning, see a derm, and if you are give finasteride a shot. But overall you have great hair.

Thank you man. Yes,so far this doesnt make sense to me,i have seen people from perfect to deformed headshapes balding... The main cause of alopecia androgenic is the hair follicles being weak and not resistant to dht, hence falling off. I cant see headshape hardwired with the main issue, but im not an expert and as i don't have too much knowledge about this theory,i wont say its completely bullshit, but i need to do more research

i told him via dms that it is possible that he can diffuse thin and told him to go to a derm. I just said due to his smooth galea, he will not recede past a norwood 1.5. I did speak to him via dms and told him to get an expert opinion. Also, you are a dick to us, because you just are...its who you are. You are an a$$ hole.

Yes,and you are not wrong about it,because the chances Im diffuse thinning are hella high, which is worse than male pattern baldness.

from what ive seen on this site. Diffuse thinning looks easier to treat than receding hairlines.

i did not tell him not to do nothing. Do you have access to out private conversation? I told him that his hairline will definetly remain intact but he should get his density checked by a professional.

Yes,my density is fucked up in a way i cant style my hair, cause It lacks volume and the toupee wont stay

Sure there’s not a 100% guarantee and maybe it should have been worded differently but

1) he clarified in a DM
2) people suggest finasteride like it’ll always work and say things like you’ll maintain when there’s also no guarantee. Ritchie at the very least said to talk to an expert
Like 90% of people maintain on finasteride

There’s not even much to research, he made it up. There’s guys with perfect hair who take steroids and go bald within a year. It’s dht sensitivity thats all it is. That’s why transplanted hair doesn’t fall out lol
