Then I'm fucked. Anything topical makes my skin suffer, even keto if I use it more than twice a week.

A colleague of mine uses minoxidil and I made the test putting it on my skin during the morning. I let it there and by mid day my skin was already burning. When I checked again at night it was bloody red. It was insane. Imagine if I had put it on my scalp
Yikes. That's not good at all. Is it an elergic reaction to something in the cream? You'd hope it's not a reaction to the drug itself.

With alergies -- I'm not 100% on this -- it may be possible to adapt to the thing you're alergic to via repeated exposure in increments.

I've not tried it, I don't have any alergies. But it might be worth looking into?

Or you could ask the doctor to help you find out what you're alergic to and find a version that doesn't have it?

I don't know. Just ideas.
