21 male is my hairline receding? Widows peak? Hairstyle? or has it just matured? Would it hurt to take medication?

After looking at some photos of me at 18 it looks about the same to me but I have been getting comments about how I’m balding/have bad looking hair (especially from women unfortunately) is it receding or do I just have a vegeta hairline/widows peak also I assume my hairline has “matured” now I do purposely slick my hair back I don’t use products besides shampoo my hair is dirty blonde/light brown and fairly fine thoughts ?

I would start taking finasteride to maintain your hairline so it doesn't recede in the future.

Of course, your hairline will continue to recede if you don't take care of it in advance. You'll keep what you have.

Are they joking? Your hair looks good. I do see a little bit of diffuse thinning at the forelock in pic number 4 so I'd definitely start finasteride if I was you.

If your hairline looks pretty much the same as it did at 18, that's usually a good sign. A mature hairline or a naturally strong widow's peak can look like recession, especially with fine hair and slicked-back styles. Photos taken in the same lighting and angle over a few years are probably the best way to judge whether it's actually changing.
