Looking back at old pictures it makes me wonder if I'm truly thinning or if I have a weird temples. I can't even see temples like mine on the internet since they aren't the usual thinning temples you see on the web as examples of male pattern baldness. I need your guys' opinion since I don't know anymore if I'm balding or not.

I don't even know what to think. @losingbattle88 @Mr. Slap Head @DoctorHouse

Also note that I can't go to a specialist, since my GP won't allow it.

I don't know why my temple peaks look so abnormal, most temple peaks I see on the internet are thick, mine are thin even with long hair.

Bro your temporal hairline (side) is going way back and that’s not good. I would hop on finasteride and oral minoxidil while the miniaturized hairs are still alive, you will probably get to NW0

Looks like you have Side burn thinning too which is weird. Have you checked over your vitamins/minerals iron and thyroid? Its possible that it isnt male pattern baldness. Has your hair gotten any thinner the last few months in these areas hairline and Side burns?

Mine are similar! Irregular hairline makes the most minor recession look much worse than it actually is.
But is there even recession? I don't even know if that thinness in the temples are normal or miniaturization, why is my temple peak thin compared to my temples? Almost everyone's temple peaks are thick like this guy's

This makes it so f*****g hard for me to know if I'm thinning or not.

No noticeable thinning in those for areas for the past few months, I started to monitor my hair in 2020 because my friend pointed out how thin my temple peaks are compared to the rest of my hair.

I did a blood test on 2020 to check for anything other than male pattern baldness and my GP said everything is normal, my iron being a bit too low but nothing crazy. My side burns are thick and can get long as f*** very quick compared to my temple peaks. The reason why my sideburns look thin is because I tuck a good chunk of it behind my ears.

Do you think there was a massive recession from 2020 to 2022? It's hard to tell for me because it looks different in every pic. I already got prescribed finasteride 5mg, but I'm just doubting if I'm truly balding or not, but I guess this confirms it...

Also, all the pics in 2022 were taken on the same day. I decided to take a pic before and after getting a haircut

You have balding in your family bro? Or thinning? If yes then I guess being proactive is Good.

Men with hair are more rare than bald men in my family. Dad is NW4-5 although he's very old, brother at 30's is NW2 or 3, maternal grandfather was bald completely at 30, my uncle is NW7, my cousin had to do a hair transplant so he's probably bald as f*** too, and many more.

I wasn't able to tell if I've thinning or not since my temples are weird and I have nothing to compare them with which is why I was taking these pictures, and even then, I can't tell wtf is going on. I'll take finasteride as precaution either way.

Also, I might or might not have my temples like that as a kid, I can't tell because I don't have any pictures, and the ones that I do I have long hair which covers it, so I'm totally dark on how my hair looked before 2020.

Bro @losingbattle88 is on point with prevention. The temporal hairline thinning is scary because that always goes on people who go NW7. Biggest mistake we all make is not starting early enough. I wish I could go back to age 18 and hop on finasteride and oral min, I would do it without hesitation and would never have to worry about hair loss in the first place

Can't believe the b**ch of my GP said it was "normal" just by running her hands through my temples. I'll get on finasteride 1.25mg as soon as possible, do you think I can regrow or maintain (without using minoxidil)?

This is how my temples looks on a buzzcut with a headguard #1, seems there isn’t a lot of density on that area in the first place (this was on 2020)

Bro I would hop on both. Minoxidil is the key to regrowth. I would use both, and after you get regrowth you can try dropping min and just maintain on finasteride

Mario Lopez has DHT resistant hair and good genes. Your hair is definitely receding. If you want to save it, you will need finasteride.

Thanks guys, now I'm sure I've to take finasteride and also minoxidil too (at least until I see regrowth). Hopefully my hair lasts 10 or 20 years...
