Are you still in lockdown? At least you have good hair transplant doctors where you live just in case.

Not lockdown but there are a few restrictions and still wear masks. I might do a hair transplant when I'm a bit older (and have more money) and get it done in a latin country. Canada's healthcare is pretty sh*t, they are very incompetent and expensive as f*** as well.

Would you think that finasteride + minoxidil might regrow my temples a bit or is hair transplant the only way?

Start treatment immediately and you have a good chance at regrowth and might not need a transplant, maybe. I would jump on finasteride and 10mg oral minoxidil rn

Because the good thing is that these areas are not slick bald yet, the follicles are still very much alive

Yeah, I just have to wait a few days until the finasteride comes (it's by delivery), hopefully it regrows, and I'll update soon by the end of the year or so.
Also, do you recommend oral minoxidil or topical? Never heard of oral.

It's worth a try. You are still young enough and starting early enough.

In your situation... time is of the essence. You can always switch back to topical once you get the regrowth you want. Oral minoxidil will really make those thin hairs become thick again.

Plus keep in mind that some people waste time with topical. It doesn't work for everyone. Long story short, you need a particular enzyme in your scalp to respond well to it, and not everyone has it. Oral brings the drug to the liver where lots of this enzyme is located, thus it works for everyone. Keep in mind it will cause your facial and body hair to grow as well

I'm thinking of doing my hair transplant in a south american country where my cousin did it too. I didn't see his results, but I trust they are competent (and much cheaper). That's IF I'm tolerent to finasteride, if not, then it's over and I'll accept my fate as baldy NW7. I'll probably go there next year's summer.

Should I only get hair transplant on my temples or try to lower my hairline? From pictures it seems only my temples are being affected.

I don't think you have to worry about that for now. You still have plenty of hair to save. I would never go to South America for a hair transplant. I would rather go to Turkey.

Oral minoxidil has a chance at curing you bro. But nah you don’t need to lower it. Just need the temples fixed, if it comes to that

That country is where part of my family (and I) come from actually, which is why I'm thinking of doing it there as it's easier to get around. I'll go there next year as a visit/vacation and maybe I can go to the surgent and ask his opinion or something as well as seeing the result on my cousin, I'll see.

Venezuela, but contrary to popular belief, if you have USD you can get very high quality sh*t there. I have first hand experience (as well as my family) of how doctors in Venezuela are way more competent than the ones here in Canada (they're pretty sh*t here).
