^ Funny you mention that, I actually just noticed light hairs on my arms that I didn't use to have. But even if it's from minoxidil, it's nothing dramatic. Sadly facial hair doesn't come out any stronger.

My skin has aged a bit in the last few years but it's not too bad. Minoxidil might have contributed, but then again it could be other things as well.

Hey guys what’s your opinions on what I should do-
Been on finasteride 1mg for 8.5 months, biotin for 2 and recently nizarol 3x a week.
Seems that my recession hasn’t stopped and has got especially bad this last month.
Should I wait till the 12 month mark to see if these patches regrow or add minoxidil now?

Last picture- recession at frontal region not great. Considering as well recession between pic 3 and 4 is only in 1 month.
Should I get on minoxidil to bring back that hair or wait for finasteride?

DON'T use minoxidil. it will make your hairs worse in time

Maybe it's the pictures but there seems to be no noticeable recession happening. You know your hair best but try to get a picture when you first started with the same lighting as a picture from now to compare.

Nah I’ve defo receded/ thinning in those areas as well as the whole hair line moving up a wee bit. I’m unable to style my fringe like I used to.

Hey good to see your hair has improved quite a bit since you started this thread. Stick with it as there's no better treatments besides trans regime. You may want to add dermarolling, lots of success stories. Good Luck!

Why should I not use minoxidil?

from my experience if you start minoxidil you should continiue for the rest of your life. if you stop it it will make your hair much worse.
perhaps the hair follicles are used to a situation like minoxidil and when you stops then are shocked.

excuse my English..

Switch to oral minoxidil, it is better and less tedious to apply

Update: I took a blood test and my estradiol levels are too high, just above the upper threshhold of normal estrogen for men at 40 pg/ml. I will have to drop Alpicort E as obviously the topical estradiol is getting absorbed systemically.

I think Alpicort attributed to my hairline regrowth but I hope now that I'm on RU I will keep that hair even without estrogen. I have also started dermarolling with a 1.5 mm dermaroller once a week and upped my frequency of minoxidil to twice a day (much smaller amount in the morning, though, so that I don't get side effects).

I'll post a 3 month RU update in a few days.

40 is not at all dangerous. I myself had 40 prior to taking spironolactone.

sigh, youre using estradiol benzoate. Of course its going to go systemic

if ur gonna use estradiol you have to use 17b e with no ester

if u wanna join a discord for finasteride resistant hairloss, you can pm me

Here are some photos after 3 months on RU. I'm pretty sure the forelock has gotten stronger, it might not be very evident in the photo but it looks and feels fuller and is easier to style. It also started shedding almost immediately after starting RU, I don't think it's a coincidence. My hairline was probably worst in the middle of January, 1 month in, then it started filling in again.

As for the other areas I don't see much difference, but I'll take it.

Literally zero changes. For both Credo and Andrew. Not really surprising since there was no hair loss to begin with.

So far hair holds pretty strong. The right side of the hairline has regrowth almost reaching up to Norwood 1 but my hair is thinner in the whole Norwood 3 area. The left temple is deeper, solid Norwood 2, but the hair is thicker. Overall I'm pleased and I hope I keep it and get some additional regrowth.

I'm rolling with a 1.5 mm dermaroller once a week. I lowered the frequency of Alpicort E from ED to 3x/week and take indole-3-carbinol to lower my estrogen. Hopefully I can get it to healthier levels again. I have also reverted to minoxidil once a day because I was getting dark circles again.

I think the treatment is working guys, I basically have very similar hair now as in 2016 when I had just noticed the first signs of balding. My frontal hairline may be even thicker, you can see the beginning of hairline thinning in the 2016 photo that isn't there in the new one. Also compare it to 2017 when it was at its worst. The overall density is still worse than it used to be, but it's alright.
I just ordered another bottle of RU. I think I'm getting some additional regrowth on my hairline from dermarolling, too.

Hell yeah! What do you think has been the best part of your treatment? I remember you were having issues in the beginning.
