There's a reason that the well-known meds are known. I recommend finasteride/Duta/Min/Keto plus derma-rolling plus retin-A but nothing comes close to estrogen which is not an option obviously for you.

Alright, I trust you! Finasteride remains my last option. When you talk about keto do you mean Nizoral? And for retin-A, it is to be supplemented with minoxidil and derma-rolling is it correct? I scoured the forum quite a bit before posting but I don't have all the keys.

Yes to Nizoral but you want two percent if you can get it. I would also add a blue or green dandruff shampoo, oral minoxidil and derma-rolling with minoxidil. That's about the best that you can do without using hormonal medications like finasteride. You might try castor oil but I am unable to vouch for it since I only started two weeks ago but many seem to tout it.

Sounds good to me. I'll try to get some Nizoral, I'll add derma-rolling and Retin-A to the topical minoxidil and try Fluridil to help with maintenance a bit. I will also try the castor oil. I will stay away from oral minoxidil (seems dangerous in the long term) and finasteride for now. I would try if the fall didn't slow down. Thank you for your help, sincerely.

Hi to everyone,

This is my first post.

I am going to describe my situation, I would need the help of those who will give it to me!
My father my uncle my grandfather are all Norwood7 and were very early (between 20 and 25). I am 25 years old, I started to lose my hair at the age of 18, I directly started the Minoxidil which slowed down the loss enormously until a few months ago when everything started to be degrade .. I went from a Norwood 0.5 to 2.5 in one year ?

Today even though I love my hair I don't feel like taking finasteride after everything I've read. I'm quite fragile mentally and I have a lot of health concerns, anxiety and depression too. I think even if it was nocebo I would end up getting the worst side effects from finasteride.

I'm not necessarily trying to stop hair loss definitely (I know it's impossible without finasteride), but at least to keep my hair for a few more years! Do you have anything to offer me? I am going to start derma-rolling in combination with the minoxidil. I bought Alfatradiol to try a weak anti-androgen, maybe I would like to couple all this with Fluridil .. Apparently light too! Do you think this is a good solution? I've heard of Zix too .. I guess some here have weaker than fina methods for slowing hair loss all the same.

Thank you in advance for your advice :D. And sorry for my bad English.

You know it better than me, I'm a beginner ! What do you recommend without finasteride?
Not by itself. But in conjunction with other treatments it might.

With fluridil + dermarolling + minoxidil + Nizoral + castor oil, do you have other safe suggestions for maintenance?

I think those treatments together would be a good starting point.
Ok thank you ! And have you ever tried topical finasteride? It might be interesting to get less danger than oral finasteride I guess

Look in to topical dutasteride instead, never tried topical fina/duta but apparently many people said they got the same sides on topical finasteride as they did with oral but got none with topical dutasteride. Check mustangs thread

Dustasteride? Isn't that much more powerful yet? For starters it may seem too strong for me. But if it gives less side effects why not. I will look at the other posts! Thanks

Never tried topical, but seems promising for those looking to avoid sides.

Yeah the thing about topical dutasteride is that it has a much larger particle size, so the idea is that it won't really go systemic.

It should be stated that neither of these have long term studies though.

The problem I see with topical dutasteride is that it might not be the best for the hairline, since it can actually increase T a bit.

Thank you for these responses !!

Can someone advise me on topical finasteride? I do not really know where to order it for a European .. And I do not know the dosages, some speak of 0.1 mg others of 1% or 2.5% gel .. Of liposomal so that it is not systemic? Could someone refer me which topical finasteride to choose? It would be great !!! :D
