SE Freak - very impressive regrowth. It seems like you've managed to maintain your results for several years now...I was curious if the routine you posted is something that you still do to this day? Specifically, applying the 5% minoxidil to the affected areas in the early stages. Based on articles i've read about minoxidil, it must be used continuosly to keep the results obtained.

Also, on days that you do not wash with Nizoral, what (if any) shampoos are you using?

I still keep the same routine yes. :) Every now and then, I might go for 1 minoxidil app instead of 2 if my day is crazy. I currently use Eubos sensitive shampoo - the closest I have found to Pregaine Clear gel which was unfortunately discontinued.

Thanks for the reply

Unfortunately, I don't think Eubos is a readily available product where I reside

Congrats with the hair regrowth and good luck with your continued success

I go through sheds often. Not massive like the first one but sometimes noticeable.

If your hair does get better after each shed then why change your routine? What possible advice could I give other than staying on the same regimen?

Too many follicles start their cycle when you first start using minoxidil. That could possibly explain some synchronization and shedding from time to time.

Have you looked at my tread ?

Check it out , did you in your first year go through 4 massive sheds, and when did things start to level out as far as sheds.

Thanks

Ps I may add liquid too.

1) being disciplined with the regimen

i started a blog here: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=64298

i will post pics as i go along with my routine. im not expecting to match your results though. again congratulations and thanks for the good work

Thank you pawelg. I have not been visiting the forums very often lately. Too much stuff going on. I wish the best with your male pattern baldness counter-attack...

My crown is similar to yours, maybe less thin than yours was at first. I've thought about having my hair short, when your double crown was the way it was at first, could you cover it up without it looking obvious? Were those two bits on your crown almost slick bald? My left side is worse than my right. I can barely see thinning on the ridght crown.

When I decided to get on treatments there was obvious thinning in the vertex area. Not slick bald spots but thinner blonder hairs that in the end could not be styled to conceal the thinning. Two swirls rock! : D

Re: Body hair

SE, did you have much body hair before taking Finasteride? If so, did you see any reduction?

Thanks for coming back here every now and then.

I would describe my body hair as of medium density. I have not noticed any changes while on treatment, but I often shave/buzz it, I prefer the look I guess than the "natural" one :)

I hope it does too. I have not observed any noticeable degradation in density/quality. I started having some whites though. Still wear it long, I might buzz it again if I get bored with the ponytail look.

Sorry for the long inactivity periods. I hope everyone is doing well and getting hairier. :]
