Well, days back then when i started balding i had little bald spot raising there, hairline receding and slight diffuse thinning starting on. So yeah, i woke up on time taking meds. Never had sides on finasteride, i thought i had but it was placebo 100% The more i was thinking about side effects on finasteride the more i was experiencing them, what a bullshit. I stopped thinking about sides and they also stopped appear - psychology is really dangerous here

So yeah, never had sides at all. If you still considering finasteride, you're wasting time. Just hop on it.

I am considering it (have been for many months) but still not convinced. During this time I continue to lose hair at an alarming rate (by now it's very visible though even keeping what I have left seems better than slick bald - not to mention that any thickening would be a bonus). It's just that I've never experienced ED symptoms (whether is lack of erection, no erection at all, soft erection or difficulty in keeping it hard) nor did I experience low libido ever. On the contrary. Not to mention the gyno, mental fog, (some people even claim oral health issues) etc. I think the sexual issues that many men report is what scares the sh*t out of me. I can't even imagine the level of freakness a man (especially the high libido and always erect men) can go through when their penis does not behave as expected/desired. So many men lie to themselves and others that sides are just in their heads... But whether I choose to jump on it or not, at least I won't do so in darkness after reading all the reported experiences posted here. Thanks.

topical finasteride might work for someone who has slow receding. For me it didnt at all.

Mission Failed Sir!

I went bald, regimen couldn't hold up with aggressive hair loss. I diffussed over the top to NW5. Hairline destroyed to NW3.

finasteride stopped working even at 2.5mg every day, minoxidil stopped working about one year ago. Was on RU 5% about 3 months at it did sh*t, estradiol, ketoconazole, dermarolling everything helped to slow thing down but faith is faith and destiny is destiny. Still have about 30~40 % density over the top and i failed to be candidate for transplant also.

Was fun, i dont regret anything. Still considering dutasteride but i dont know if its worth to play with, besides the fact i never had any sides from my regimen.

Conclusion? Eh, wont demotivate anyone but lets be real. If you start to bald at age 17 you probably wont win it with non-invasive treatmens like finasteride and minoxidil. I accepted myself as a bald.

Damn that's a big change in attitude and results! It's crucial to know when to let it go and I think you've seized the right moment. On the very plus side, your face features and skull shape do fit you well bald. I'm pretty sure you'll have more money for yourself (rather that the hair loss product companies), more time (all that mino and ru appliance adds up as total time) and - if not now, later - peace of mind. How long did the big 3 work for u? What age were u when it started going downhill? Im 17 and been balding midway through 15. Taking the big 3 now aswell, but my hairloss seems more aggressive. Norwood 6 diffuse pattern + receding

My Donor area seems to be thinned out also. Probably you're on the same boat like me. Big 3 was working about 3 years. Hope you will maintain your hair but lets be real. Aggressive hairloss needs agressive regimen. Good luck, and take care.

You look really good shaved and you don't need hair. I'm just asking cause some of us are actually fine with 30-40% density that can be styled to best conceal thinning. After all, diffuse only becomes noticeable at 50% density. Thanks bro.

My hair are naturally thin, even with my full density they look weak comparing to other hair types even when they are healthy. I diffused really badly and there is just no sense to hide it or something, its always nonsense. The more you trying to hide or cover baldness the more you look like dumb and pathetic (In my opinion ofcourse) So i just let it go, still thinking about dutasteride but probably if i am gonna try it i will not let people know here, cause i wont scary anyone who wants to try dutasteride and there is no point to demotivate them if its going to be fail in my case.
