Hi guys,

Its now been 9 months complete since I switched over from Propecia to Dutasteride.

Sadly, there has been no improvement only degrading results to report. The V shape I mentioned in my earlier posts is even more apparent. I can even see the colour of my scalp clearly now. In addtion to this the overall density has also reduced.

I am now waiting for my RU58841 to arrive, and will add that to my regimen and I hope that puts some kind of stranglehold on the progressive hairloss. Its either the increased T or the remaining quantities of DHT which are still working away at the follicles. My only concern is that this RU has not degraded (faitheagle) during its shipment from China.

Fluridil AKA Eucapil was tried but had no beneficial effect on my hair, apart for a few days to start off with.

Will keep you guys posted on any news

You guy's really need to to start realizing the dutasteride is not the magic drug. Just because a few posters claim decent to good results should not make you want to get on the drug. It is very powerful. Stays in your bodies for months after stopping and also has been to shown to lower sperm counts. sometimes permanently. I have read many testimonials and seen people complaining of losing their forelocks and massive head thinnings while on the drug, yet a few posters always seem to chime in with the "give it a year and you will be happy".

The problem is once you lose that forelock, it aint never coming back. Quit the drug and give you body a few days to rest and then start back on Propecia.

And yes I have tried to drug myself and was horrified by the shed. Screw that!

I have tried spironolactone.

Very hard to manage due to consistency and smell, and always had hair falling out after application.

I also use minoxidil.

I have tried Proxiphen, and it seems good, but is very expensive.

I am waiting for RU.

Propecias effectivness was begining to wear off, not sure if thats correct to say, but hairlosswas catching up again and thats why I made the move.

I dont like taking oral pills be it dutasteride or Propecia, but what other options do I have? This sucks

I had a terrible experience with Dutasteride...My hair became yellowish and thinner alla over my scalp. After 1 year nothing...Shedding without end. My doctor prescribe me a biopsy of the scalp and found some T Cells influx that makes hair thin, damaged and very dry, inflammation like a diffuse alopecia areata. My Doctor says that a potent drug like dutasteride in some people could be a trigger to this pathology (even Accutane or other potent drug could make this).
I use topical steroids like Hydrocortisone, Clobesol and Olux and my hair don't fall out and slowly get darker and stronger...The Itching completely disappeared.
Dutasteride is a potent drug and a bad eaction is possible...
I used fonasteride in the past for many years without problem.

Sorry for my English

Bye

That might be so, but what does it matter if you're going bald anyway? Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Propecia just doesn't work for many of us.

That being said. I might do an experiment and go back to propecia for 6 months, I'm not winning anywho.
