Now of course I don't believe every word that comes out this guys mouth (for starters I'm not Christian lol) but.. just have a watch. For some of you, male pattern baldness may well be completely genetic, but for many or even most of us, I completely believe what he is saying holds true. Enjoy :)

and by the way if anyone else round here feels like following the health path in all this I think it would be awesome to make some more connections and get chatting! Ok, the vid!

Hope you liked it!

Vegetarians still get thinning hair.
People who follow the paleolithic diet still get thinning hair.
Eskimo's who subsist on raw whale flesh meats still get thinning hair.
Our closest ancestor (primates) exhibit their own form of male pattern baldness. Yes, they subsist on raw foods, and they still get thinning hair.
The guy has a receding hairline.
The guy is making baseless assertions about nutrition and diet.
The guy is talking out of his ***, and probably takes it there - to boot.

If you're genetically predisposed to DHT dependent androgenic alopecia (Male Pattern Baldness), then you're going to get thinning hair irrespective of what's put inside your digestive tract. Except for maybe - PROPEEECIIIA.

I like the guy and think raw food helps, but it probably has a very minimal effect on balding.

Thing is, I'm very aware that my hair went down the pan the exact same time that my digestion and skin and everything did. Like, within weeks or perhaps a month or two tops (I remember finding hair EVERYWHERE and it piling out in the shower pretty quickly). Either this is an absolutely amazing coincidence (which very, very often feels like HairLossTalk.com's favourite word other than "Propecia"), or there was and is a health-based connection.

I know what I think, and I think people really, really need to be open minded and analytical, because otherwise there's no-one else that the individual is really fooling/cheating but themselves, IMO :(

I think it may slow down baldness in people with super slow hairloss, but the aggressive types, I don't think it make a difference. Raw food diets (good ones anyway!) do stop problems with insulin, it usually avoids high GI foods etc.

Unless you live in a warm climate, it's hard to do a fully raw food diet IMO.

If I moved to a warmer climate from the north of England, (california, arizona, spain) I would go raw maybe 90%. I've done it before at different periods of my life and it definitely made me feel like I was buzzing after a while.

As I say I think it's mostly about digestive health. A raw food diet is more cleansing and the enzymes are able to help the body kill invaders as well.

I think that guy's pretty cool - some great and very interesting vids :)

I tend to prefer Raw Sangha on the whole though ^^

What the hell happened to his chest hair? The diet must really be blocking that DHT.

I'm sorry but he just sounds like a massive self indulgent douche.

Me me me me me me me.

I I I I I I

nothing to back up what he says either, for example the crystals in peoples feet!

Do you think he means gout?

Why would eating cooked vegetables be different from eating raw vegetables?

If you listen to his story, he claims he was an *insane* body builder (50lbs heavier) yet totally drugged out on all sorts of substance abuse - until he heard about "the truth" at a book store. Heh.

[youtube:3kr7ltp4]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLTkZJTTUq4[/youtube:3kr7ltp4]

Notice how he sways when he speaks and his multiple sparks of half thoughts. You can see the damage that was done to his brain.

Sounds like he's going from one extreme to the other, but one thing remains

Obsession.

Neither extreme make him an intrinsically bad person, but i think it's fair to say one of the nicest things you can say about these videos is they won't trouble anybody who is easily bored by facts.

Because cooking destroys the enzymes and many of the nutrients :)

I believe it also denatures some of the chemicals in the foods, but I'm not totally sure on that.

The enzymes that are destroyed are plant enzymes, no biggie.

Some foods need to be cooked to get the most benefit out of them, if people move to a raw veg diet then without chomping on some vitamins and minerals, and probably having a protein shake they're risking serious malnutrition.

It's about balance.

I think it's common knowledge about the health benefits of cooking tomatoes, but here's some other stuff hopefully the age of the article isn't too important, It's getting a bit late for me to do some proper research

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/359175.stm

I expect there are some vegetables that are better raw.

Also don't forget the cooking methodology can be a factor.
