I didn't realise how common it is for brothels and career prostitutes to have a condom policy, even for oral sex, nonetheless there's no such thing as 100% "safe sex", and while you'd be very unlucky to always use protection and get an STD from just having sex with women generally, prostitutes **** a dozen guys a day, and most of those guys would **** anything. The odd's increase.

However as long as you're still being "safe" you'd still be rather unlucky to get an STD from a prostitute, but that's not to say the prostitute you have sex with doesn't have one.

I don't believe for a second that brothels are safer. Those girls have been hundreds of guys per week - they will pick STD's up. Condoms don't protect against everything ...sometimes skin/skin contact is enough and even then a lot of guys don't put the condoms on properly/get precum on the outside of it etc. Would never go to one in a million years personally, not just because of the safety aspect but also because i wouldn't get anything out of sex with someone i'm paying for it with.
