Advice Needed! Come Clean To Girlfriend About Balding?

Also to clarify what I said earlier, I wasn't advising you to "start a fight" (despite what some of the more ignorant posters have said) what I was saying was if she was insensitive or rude you were well within your rights to make her aware of the hypocritical nature of her comments (and you can do this without being aggressive, whiney or rude).

After some advice from my fellow bald/balding peeps. A bit of background, divorced and almost 40. I've been dating someone for over a year who doesn't know the extent of my hair loss (nw4/5) I use concealers (not currently living together) hence why she doesn't know or I don't think she knows.
Anyway I have vacation with her family coming up to a very hot climate we will be swimming daily. How the hell am i going to handle this? It will be shock to her and her family to see me with a massive bald spot! f*** wish i'd never ever started using concealers!
Other thing is she likes hair! She said my dark hair was one of things that attracted her to me
I love this girl so thinking I just need to come clean some how without sounding like a beta male.
Also going for a hair transplant consult in a months time which requires travel for a few days not sure what to tell her about that either! FML!
These are the options I've boiled it down to:
1) Tell her
2) Hide it until she/family member said something , like why do you have a trail of dark stuff behind you in the pool and you're bald?!?
3) Shave my head ( had a small FUE in temples 10 years back so don't know what this will be like though)
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Dude, you've been dating for a year and she never ran her fingers though your hair? How is that possible?
If you are nw4/5 (actually, if you are NW2.5+) either shave it, or get a hair system.
Concealers are retarded IMHO.

No, shaving anything below NW3 is retarded if the density is there. Buzz, sure, maybe will look better. But getting an undercut and combing the hair forward would be superior IMO. You will be covering your hairline with a hair system anyway, unless you wanna be paranoid 24/7 and do a lot more maintenance.
Concealers won't fly off your head, you can still touch it without getting anything on your hand with the help of hair spray.

You are arguing over 0.5NW points BTW. I think guys should shave between NW2 and NW3, depending on whether they suit the bald look:

I live in the US though. It's my understanding that in some countries shaved heads are considered low-class (which is why Statham doesn't shave)

They all look better shaved IMO. I'd say they are NW2.5, NW3.5, NW3.

No, when I tried it I went hard on it and no issues. If your "hair" contains of 50% concealers then it might be an issue.
No, if the density is still there it's not worth shaving. It won't look better.
They're all NW3+ with diffuse thinning all over the top. And I don't know if I would agree that they all look better, from sh*t to slightly less sh*t IMO.
Edit: the first one looks kind of average though.

Yeah, but none of them are a NW3 since the hair they got left on top is all fuzz. I'm also pretty sure that guy number 1 and 3 would look a lot better with some Toppik.That's what we mean when we say "better"
