This appears to be an improvement -much better than the classic Donald Trump comb-over...

My boss is NW5-6 (about 40 yrs old, been bald like 10 years) and up until yesterday he had kept his hair on the sides (and the little left on top) about 2 cm - 5 cm long. Yesterday he came to work with a #0 on clippers and boy did that make a difference. He looked much better. It can make a huge difference.

Kelly Slater looks great when he has a shaved head.
So does Barcelona coach, Pep Guardiola.
Both these guys have been know to grow their hair out a bit and I think they both look much smoother and better with a freshly shaved head.

Then again, both of them are good looking men and looked handsome with hair as well.

Kelly Slater does'nt grow anything out he's been slick bald for 10+ yrs.
Slater is the worst example I've seen of hairloss ruining someones looks he still looks ok now but before he was like one of the most handsome guys you could imagine. (no :gay: )

Even the most handsome guy can be turned into meh at the hands of male pattern baldness. People could still tell he has a handsome face, but would invariably be followed up with "But he would look so much better with hair." That is how debilitating being bald is to our appearance. And the there is the issue of most people having hair so that accentuates bald guys even further. I've seen whole groups of people stop and stare at a passing bald guy before.

Those pictures speak 1000 words. Without hair Brad and Tom would struggle to get roles as extras let alone be shagging some of the hottest women in Hollywood.

^ Just keep on thinking like that... it's you whose life you're harming, no one elses. I hate balding more than your regular guy because I got so many other obvious and blatant flaws, so I can't really understand why someone who is perfectly normal in every other aspect gets so depressed about ONE physical handicap. If I could fix my other probs I wouldn't give two shits about balding, honestly. That said, there's a big possibility I'd be an over-confident a**h** after that...

But the evidence is right there in those pics, its the difference between Hollywood hearthrob and what most women would describe as a creepy looking guy.
You cant dispute that if Tom and Brad did look like that (ie exactly the same but with m.p.b) their lives would be completley different. And thats what I believe for myself.
What are we supposed to do, just deny that? Tell ourselves that it makes no difference? Join slybaldguys?

I've seen Slater with 'stubble' before growing on top. Say 1/2 weeks of growth and he looks much better when has it shaved clean aka sly.

I agree with you though, he is a handsome guy with or without hair.

Tom actually looks decent...it would be even better if he was 6'2 and built like a truck..but oh well.

Boyish charm/beauty goes out the window with baldness; the only thing which works is badassness.

On some people baldness appears to make no difference or it might even be an improvement :dunno:

Didn't know you were in Hollywood... the standards are not the same for average joe's and hollywood stars. Very few women out there look like hollywood actresses nor expect all men to look like that.

Its the same thing just on a smaller scale. Angelina Jolie would'nt be famous if she weighed 200lbs either but all things being equal the average guy would choose a 110lb woman over a 200lb one wether they have Hollywood looks or not. Just like the average woman would choose a average guy with hair over a average bald guy. It makes a difference wether you're in Hollywood or not, its not about looking like a Hollywood star its about looking the best you can.

It's about looking the best you can. In both those photos, Cruise and Pitt, if they were bald - are certainly not looking the best they can.

I don't think women would chose hair over no hair or balding hair. Yes, some will. Just like a few women won't date a red head. They are a minority.

If you keep yourself in decent shape, be at peace with yourself and as you say look the best you can - a lot of women will look past your hairloss issues.

Yeah, there are many aspects to ones appearance and hairloss is one of them. I'd rather lose my hair than have a huge nose or be cross-eyed. There's this guy at my workplace who's as cross-eyed as they get. Baldness could never look that distracting unless your skull is full of bumps. I'm not a judgemental person when it comes to things we cannot control (for obvious reasons lol) but you can't help but notice the guy's eyes because you don't know where the hell he is looking when he's talking to you. Sorry for the off-topic :D.
