Today I was reading the local news site from my country and observed a very unusual phenomenom which was not the first I noticed:
1. Some 40 year old man got married with a famous 20 year old girl (they both work in the same field). Everybody was saying that it was normal, because the girl looked "mature" (indeed, her face isn't cute anymore, maybe because of too much drinking or because she got fucked in the departament of looks). All the people were cheering her and her man. Nobody gave a sh*t.
Now another 2 similar cases:
1. A famous 42 year old man, who was a Chad for his entire life bangs a 24 year old girl. The guy is arrogant jerk and he's narcissitic, his full head of hair is not planning to go away or even grey. The public perceives this couple as beautiful, they have a baby.
2. 50 year old businessman married a 36 year old woman. Everybody on the comments are calling him a pedophile, grandpa. Guess what? He's bald, totally f*****g bald. And guess what again? HE'S RICH as f***, but that didn't help and the public perceives him as a weirdo.
So, here my theory of public perception comes into play. The hyphotesis is: if the age difference between the couple is noticable, the man must not look like an old man (bald, grey hair) or the woman must look older than she really is, in order not to cause negative reaction from the public.
What do you think about this? Have you observed something similar?
