Hi there^^

I'm from Austria, just got my foam 4 months package which i bought over ebay

Of course i wanted to try it out immediatly... everything seemed ok, but i noticed something...

The smell of the foam is not even nearly as strong as most of the board's user say. I can just smell it when i hold the foam directly under my nose (i asked other persons as well, same result)

What i'm afraid about, is that the foam could have lost his quality on travelling due to hotness etc... Or even on stock from the seller.

Is this possible? or did rogaine reduce the foams smell? Any experiences?

The problem is, if it lost its quality, using foam would not have an effect and i'd loose a lot of time...

Was the seal broken?

I can almost guarantee you that your product is good. To some, the smell isn't that bad. It was overwhelming for me for a week, then it became hardly noticeable. Sometimes, it smells less than others.

i know a lot of people say it stinks but it really doesnt,i can barely smell it,well not barely but its no way near as overpowering as some would suggest

first of all: thanks for the answers.

the problem is, its not that i wouldnt see the smell as to strong, i simply almost cant smell anything. even when i hold it under my nose, thats whats making me nervous =/

Just got the information that if you turnaround the bottle and look above the expire date, der is a speciall code. if this code ends to "c-2", it means that the production of the foam must have produced after august 2007 with a new recepture (with reduced smell).

What does your foam bottle say guys? ^_^

as far as heat/cold affecting it goes:

the bottle states 68 - 77ish degrees but that's just to keep the foam consistency or foam action intact. I don't think it will hurt it's potency if it goes out of that range but rest assured it does have it's limits on temperature vs potency. I don't know what those limits officially are (I would guess close to the previous formulations of minoxidil) but I'm pretty sure it has to be for a prolonged period of time to those extreme temperatures to really lose it's potency (as in storing it in extreme heat/cold - that's what you think the seller might have done but highly unlikely if he wants to stay in business). a few days of travel time I wouldn't worry much about. If it is still foaming okay then I wouldn't worry about it. Buy another supply of foam from a different source to compare it at least that's what I would do. I bought mine from amazon.com with no problems.
