Yes sir . The thicker my facial hair got the thinner my hair on my head got .

Wrong, one is not linked to the other.

To the original poster: Please for the love of god do not start taking finasteride and minoxidil without seeing a doctor first. These guys are insane. You're 15 and your body is still developing. See a doctor first since it is not very common to start losing hair at that young of an age. There could be many other things at play here. If you were twice your age, it would be pretty easy to say OK you have male pattern baldness. However, you're just 15. Get an appointment with a dermatologist/GP.

Hay buddy learn to read I told him to start rogaine and get on finasteride at 18 . No Doctor will prescribe finasteride to a 15 year old . You don't think I know this . You been on this site long enough to learn how to read. No point for this kid to see a Doctor they will tell him he's fine . Now I expect you not to disrespect again .

Disrespect? LOL.

You're the douche telling a kid to get on finasteride without seeing a doctor. I don't care what age someone is, you shouldn't get on finasteride without seeing a doctor. People pop this pill like it's candy, buying it online from pharmacies across the globe.

I was harking on you for telling someone that seeing a doctor is pointless. Also your beard growth is not necessarily linked to thinning on your head.

beard growth is from increase in dht test and hgh which is linked hairloss. Not once did I suggest him to buy finasteride online . finasteride should never be used on a 15 year old it can cause htpa damage . He needs to see a Doctor at 18 years old not now . Like I said don't disrespect again . I know my **** and you know your **** . I only ask you not to assume **** without first talking to some one . This will lead to your downfall .

Ok ok I think we should calm down I'm not trying to start a battle here. :eek:opsblush:

I just didn't like that you told him to not see a doctor in the beginning. I think he should see one now, not at 18...because it could be a hormonal imbalance as he is in those teenage years.

I agree, people put too much faith in medical doctors. As it turns out I have a thyroid condition which may or may not be causing my hair loss recently. It has led me to do a HUGE amount of research on hair loss. I thought the symptoms were side effects of finasteride, but it turns out my hyperthyroid got agitated. After 2-3 weeks I couldn't ignore the symptoms, I was almost sure I had hyperthyroid. Went to urgent care this past Saturday. Kept my mouth shut because I knew if I said I think I have hyperthyroid the doctor would immediately dismiss me as a "WebMD" paranoid freak. After 45 minutes of him listening to my symptoms he left the room (probably to consult WebMD) and suggested I had hyperthyroid lol.

Blood tests confirmed this morning that everything is abnormal. I am waiting to get the numbers in myself. I'm interested to see if my TSH is at the same normal level as it was in June (2 months ago). I doubt finasteride made it go all whack but I'm curious to see the numbers.

Moral of the story, doctors don't know everything, they just know the tools to use and tests to order. Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread OP. Just see a doctor.

My mother has a thyroid condition the hairloss will be all over the head including the sides . Op hairloss looks like regular male pattern baldness .

He he might be insulin restiant , if he's fat or he might have naturally high T which would make him excess at sports
