Hey guys! I’m trying to figure out if I’m balding on my crown or if I’ve been combing my hair weird. Any legitimate advice/insight would be of great value. Thanks in advance!

I think you are. Looks a little too big. You can try minoxidil on it.

here is what i'd do if i could go back to that period when my hair looked like yours:
1) get on minoxidil liquid 5%, apply twice daily (1 in the morning 1 before bed). wash your hair with some of the more known hair loss shampoo (i personally use Nioxin 2). Shampoo your hair, wash it, dry it thoroughly with a towel and then apply minoxidil and gently massage it into your scalp. then blow dry it after you are done. this was recommended by my doctor which i rarely see people do online
2) if for some reason your scalp gets itchy and red from liquid minoxidil, buy the foam one, also known as rogaine.
3) get on nizoral shampoo or anything that contains ketoconazole (either 1% or 2% are fine) use it twice a week. it helps with inflammation.
4) take pictures every month, revaluate in 3-6 months depending on how you feel.
in the meantime do research on finasteride and you should decide if it's for you.
if it gets worse, see a doctor or two and get their opinion. too many of us waited for far too long to accept the fact we have hair loss. act early

Yes. Lay off the pastries brah, u might see an improvement if u cut out sucrose/fructose and get at it with the big 3 aggressively. Best of luck

Nobody can say for sure if you are or not this early. The crown looks like this could be the beginning stages of a problem or it could be a larger than average cowlick for example. Nobody here knows your hair to tell you for sure. If you think it is a problem I would start with Minoxidil. I was 19 and thinning on the crown, used Minoxidil for six months and stopped and was fine for 10yrs. So not all hair loss at a young age is going to become a NW7.
