There are alot of rabbit holes to go down into if you follow all his links. But, his main hypothesis of why aging and disease occur is because of a change in the extracellular matrix(ECM) and blood flow becomes slowed. That was a rough and brutal translation of what he said but he thinks the ECM is a main cause of disease. Of course we know blood flow in male pattern baldness in scalp is less than controls.

In addition to protecting tissues from death, DMSO is remarkably effective at removing excess fluid from outside the bloodstream, increasing circulation, and eliminating circulatory obstructions (e.g., clots). As each of these issues comes up quite frequently, DMSO is often extremely helpful in a variety of circulatory disorders.

For example, the leading DMSO researcher found that 50% of patients with Raynaud’s syndrome had their symptoms eliminated with DMSO and that thrombophlebitis responds excellently to DMSO and two researchers, using plethysmographic methods, demonstrated objective improvement in peripheral artery insufficiency in a large number of patients receiving topical DMSO . Likewise, DMSO has been shown to improve diabetic circulatory impairments such as peripheral neuropathy, or diabetic ulcers (where one study of hundreds of patients reported over a 94% treatment success rate) and prevent future amputations.

In turn, this is what we find, and that much in the same way DMSO reverses many other complications of aging (e.g., skin issue, hair loss, poor organ function) IV DMSO is one of the most effective anti-aging therapies for the brain (along with ultraviolet blood irradiation or improving the physiologic zeta potential). Likewise, IV DMSO is one of the only therapies I know of which can help challenging neurological diseases Parkinson’s or ALS (where in both cases, while not curative, typically halts the progression of the disease). In turn, I periodically come across anecdotes of DMSO consuming centenarians who have no cognitive impairment despite their age.

Ok...here is the N=1 study of the guy regrowing hair with oral DMSO. The concentration of DMSO reaching his hair follicle would be extremely low unlike topically applied which would be way too much as studies show with DMSO that a small amount is protective and high amounts detrimental to cell viability.

There are just so many good pages and pages of information he talks about that it would take me years to read it all, let alone attempt to comprehend it all.
Here is one:

Here he talks about the how water is stagnated in the body:

Each cell, in turn, is surrounded by interstitial fluid, which has to move to and from the cell. A variety of different conditions result when this circulation shuts down. One of the most common ones medical dissidents have identified throughout the ages is cancer, an observation which exists in parallel with the observation cancer cells lose the ability to metabolize oxygen. This has led many to theorize (there is also some evidence for this) that cancer cells represent a primitive survival mechanism where the cells revert to a form that focuses on the cancerous cell’s own survival rather than working in harmony with the complex host it belongs to that provides an environment that can support the cells increasing evolutionary sophistication.

Note: There are a variety of different conditions that correlate with interstitial fluid stagnation most clinicians in practice have seen. One of the most interesting ones my colleagues have observed is that when the interstitial stagnation becomes extreme, individuals can lose their will to live, something also commonly observed in cancer patients.

Because many of these circulations occur within structures other than the classic vessels (arteries, veins, lymphatic vessels), anatomists have built their discipline around identifying, many critical circulatory pathways have only recently been discovered. For example, the Primo Vascular system, the essential but well-hidden system that best maps to the acupuncture channels, was only confirmed to exist in 2013.

In the case of the interstitial fluid, a circulatory network for it that exists throughout the entire body was only discovered a few years ago.

Note: Given its scope and function, the discovers have argued that this connected interstitial fluid network constituted a “new” organ, the interstitium. I found this designation quite interesting as one of the mysteries of Chinese Medicine has been what the “Triple Burner” (its twelfth organ) is. The Triple Burner was first described in the classic text of Chinese Medicine over two thousand years ago and has all the functions and acupuncture channel characteristics of an actual organ, but is stated to lack a discrete physical form. Many have speculated the Triple Burner is the fascia, something I was open to but not sold on. When I read the seminal paper on the interstitium, it was immediately apparent it matches all the characteristics of the elusive Triple Burner organ.

The fundamental reason the interstitium had never been found before was that the collagen structures that create the vessels for interstitial fluid to travel throughout the body collapse when taken out of the body and placed on slides. The millions of people who saw the interstitium’s collagen fibers on slides over the centuries all then assumed the collagen fibers they saw were simply cellular debris of no purpose. This problem is identical to the one that has prevented the entire microbiology field from recognizing the clear signs of pleomorphic bacteria frequently seen under the microscope, as they too, are simply assumed to be irrelevant debris.

I am using DMSO right now for Peyronie's disease. I thinking about adding it to a hair serum I have to help the molecules penetrate the scalp

Bloodflow is only reduced due to lack of hairs on the scalp lol. Its not the underlying cause of male pattern baldness. But I still do laser helmet brushing scalp red and take a blood thinner.

That’s an interesting take on extracellular matrix changes and blood flow in relation to hair loss. While DHT sensitivity has long been considered the primary driver of male pattern baldness, there’s growing research suggesting that reduced scalp circulation, fibrosis, and microinflammation may also play a significant role. The connection between blood flow and hair loss is especially intriguing, as studies have shown that balding areas of the scalp tend to have lower oxygen levels and reduced capillary networks compared to non-balding areas.

DMSO is often discussed as a potential way to improve circulation and reduce inflammation, but as with any treatment, it’s important to approach it with caution and look at real-world results. Some people report positive effects, while others see little to no benefit. Since hair loss is such a complex process, the best approach is usually a combination of scientifically-backed treatments tailored to your individual case.
