I totally get what you're saying Fred but I just think were looking at it from slightly different angles.

Just shave it, chicks dig confidence.

Next time someone says that, hand them some clippers and tell them to shave their entire head right then and there.

If they protest tell them "It's just hair bro".

None of them will, which is no surprise.

Those that always talk about hair to others tend to be the most narcissist behind their own hair I find. They tend to have good hair themselves, and are quick to point it out.

I think point 2 could be 're-phrased as; 'I just want to keep my hair until I'm 30 then I don't care.' When in reality they certainly will care. However, I have to agree with the majority, losing hair younger must definitely be hard.

EXACTLY. They will NEVER do it.

Here are some gems I've heard from people with full heads of hair:

1. You need to own it. Have some confidence!!

2. Look at my friend Tom. He is bald yet he has a good-looking girlfriend and is the most outgoing guy.

3. It's all about what is in your heart. (This comes from the people who post the most revealing, image-conscious photos on social networking).

The worst thing is that we often get this stupid advice from people on here. People who have essentially full heads of hair (and have terrible BDD problems) come on here and tell true hair loss sufferers how to react. Even though they are very actively treating their own hair loss, which is virtually non-existent.

No other problem takes over. And even if it does, it's often a problem with an obvious solution.

For example, before hair loss, I had a problem with social anxiety. But I took steps and it's now under control.

Or I had an acne problem, again, it was easily fixed. But hair loss, it's a completely different ballgame.

Even after spending 6 years using minoxidil, getting a FUE, it's still there, and it will still be there after my next FUE. These solutions are only band-aids.

Other "problems" people usually have: breakups, getting fired, failing at school, all these are temporary and have well-defined solutions.

EXACTLY again. When other people tell me that they have problems, I assure them that their problems are temporary and often have solutions. Don't like your job? Get another one. Bad breakup with your girlfriend? Score another one. But unfortunately there is no solution for hair loss and that's why it drives us all f****n insane.

AKA "I don't view you as a sexual being and can't even conceive of you having sexual needs"
Aka 'I view use a sexual entity, sorta like a platonic lamp that I turn on and off as I please'
