Good night, I will try to be quick, I decided to write here because I think my example can help a lot of people.

My current treatment Minoxidil oral 5mg, finasteride 1 mg, topical growth factors and dermaroller (0.5 and 1.5) I have been in it for 7 months at the beginning I had an ominous shedding, after 2 months in this treatment my hair grew madly over the whole body, everybody I wondered if I had a hair transplant I gained a lot of volume, however it is 60 days since I started a VIOLENT shedding again and I cannot say why I was NW1 I am an NW2 in 60 days I lost a lot of hair again!

I will stay on this regimen for 1 year and see what happens, but it seems that my baldness has started to move fast now with oral minoxidil.

If anyone has an opinion I am open to them.

Peace my warriors!

What are the topical growth factors you are taking?

So guys, my autoimmune disease strikes again, I'll need to take sulfasalazine again, whoever wants to follow, the regimen will be minoxidil, finasteride, sulfasalazine, remembering that I have an inflammatory bowel disease, the last time I took sulfa I got a lot of hair growth , probably because of the inhibition of prostaglandins.

I really do think that finasteride can’t support a shed from oral minoxidil, it seems to be that.
Yes, finasteride does not hold shedding on oral minoxidil. The big problem with dutasteride is that it works, but for me it gives me a lot of sensitivity in the nipples, and loss of sexual appetite, I seem to respond well to Flutamide too, but I lose my male side, and I prefer to be a man, God help in this battle.

You tried Flutamide? How did it go?

Hey what do yo

u mean made you look terrible? Your hair? Your skin? Thanks

Black rings , i mean just awful just so tired bloated skin ageing like i was burned in the sun cracks just merely after 4 weeks then i halved the dose to 1 x day min that really helped 100% i mean actually pretty crazy that half the dose solved that problem like no black rings among my eyes etc ...but i think 1 x day doesn't do the job and actually make the hair worse ...you need to apply it 2 x day its not for me so i though i quit as soon as possible.

  1. my conclusion is to accept either balding Bruce Willis style
  2. or go for surgery which i find very convenient in Europe anyway

my thoughts and experience on it

I take 3 drops of generic 5% minoxidil 3 times per day mixed in water, so 9 drops per day. There are about 43 drops in 1ml of minoxidil. (Everywhere says 1 drop is 1/20ml (0.05ml), but I measured it over and over again and it's always right around 43 drops/ml. I don't know why, if it's the shape of the dropper or what.) There are 50mg of minoxidil in 1ml of 5% minoxidil. So, each drop is about 1.16mg and 9 drops per day = 10.5mg. This person also found 43 drops per ml.

Just as an experiment, I tried upping the dose until I noticed side effects. About 10+ drops all at once and I got a nasty headache. At 3 drops x 3 divided doses, I don't notice anything. I haven't taken my blood pressure, but I haven't been dizzy or light headed at all. So, maybe my blood pressure is lower, but that's fine.

Generic minoxidil has propylene glycol, alcohol, and water too, but those are fine to consume orally in small amounts. Propylene glycol is actually added to some food products.

It is dirt cheap compared to Loniten tablets. One 60ml minoxidil bottle will last 266 days. It's practially free.

I've been doing this for about 4 months now, with a couple month break in the middle where I thought maybe it was giving me insomnia. But, it seems it was not the cause of my insomnia (waking up too early and not being able to get back to sleep, too speedy, worrying). I decided it was stress.

I still use topical minoxidil, 5% in the morning, 15% at night, which I have used for decades. I don't want to quit that, but if I were just starting treatment, I think I might only do oral minoxidil and skip the topical.

I haven't noticed anything. I use lots of things and never notice anything except gradual loss over 30 years. dutasteride, RU, GHK, Retin-A, caffeine, ketoconazole, topical minoxidil and now oral minoxidil. But, I'm still a Norwood 3 and I'm sure I would be Norwood 7 if I had not been doing what I do.

I could literally see new baby hairs after two weeks when I first started using topical. With oral-nothing,plus I lost my topical gains.I feel like im wasting my time with this stuff.
Give it 4 months. Mine really came in 3-4 months.

Hi all,

5 weeks in and another quick update.. currently going through a slight shed nothing drastic however I have buzzed my hair down for convenience anyway. I'm keeping positive as last time I had a shed on topical minoxidil my hair did grown back thicker.

Hello my friend, it is a COX inhibitor, directly influencing prostaglandins mainly in increasing PGE2, you need to read a little about it, there is a lot of content about it in this forum and a lot of discussion of the real effect. What can I say and that I got an insane regrowth in my last treatment, I got hair from when I was 15 years old in 3 months, a lot of growth! but immunomodulators have insane side effects mainly for vital organs, i don't know if it would be wise to take this medication for hair loss this is really dangerous, i will open a topic soon with photos.

The funny thing is that I have an inflammatory bowel disease and I always refused to take the medication because of the side effects, and unintentionally I discovered that the medication caused regrowth, a lot of regrowth, so I added the useful to the pleasant, but I I am a very specific case

4 months on 5mg oral minoxidil per day

i notice some new wrinkles under the eyes

And i take 20g collagen powder per day

Collagen destruction by minoxidil is real

Skin texture is strange. I can tell the skin quality is worse than before minoxidil but i am on tretinoin since a few weeks. Tretinoin can make skin worse at the beginning of the treatment. So i don't know

I am 21 years old by the way
