Anyone Else Who Has Fullheaded Siblings?

I'm 31 with a diffused norwood 3 and slowly heading to a point where I may have to shave next year. My older brother is a nw2 and he is 33 with density. My young brother is 27 and is a nw1 with full density.

Our father is a norwood 4 or 5 but looks okay for his late 50s. Our grandfather on one side was slick nw7 at 40 and the other grandfather was nw1 his whole life.

I'm trying to work out why they aren't balding?

Its quite petty but it would be easier if we all had a similar hair line so that I don't become the 'bald' one.

Also, it kind of looks like someone had an affair if the brothers don't have the same genes.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Me teacher me !! my brother is a Norwood 1.5 with thick/coarse dark hair and my 54 yo father as well. I do not understand .. and my dumb brother still had a hair transplant about 500 grafts to have a better hairline, which looks exactly same just as before the hair transplant. And he also secretly eats my finasteride pills, does not have any side effects... (all least he was my guinea pig for testing topical and oral finasteride)

I have one brother who is 40 and NW0 with insane density, another who is 22 NW1 with thick head of hair. Without meds I'd be a NW8. I literally went from NW1 to NW4a in 8 months.

It skips generations. From what I know the inheritance of hair is a very strange thing.. you could end taking after your grandfather's brother or even further down the line for that matter.

It happens a lot though. My father and brother have completely different hair and hairlines. My father is 43 with a solid Norwood 2 that is simply never going to move, hasn't thinned a bit. His brother on the other hand is 53 with a thinned out Norwood 3/4 which looks to be slowly progressing into a bald head.

It's seems to be rare though people do take after their father on occasions depending on the dominant gene. That looks to be the case with your older brother.. I assume he's taking after your father, you're unfortunately taking after nw7 grandfather and with your youngest brother it's likely skipped a generation. From various observations I've noticed it typically skips the 3rd sibiling.. my father was the 3rd sibling in his family and he was also Norwood 1 until his early 30's.

Grandfather (mother side) NW0 to death. uncles on both sides NW0 to death. All cousins both sides NW0 to death. Also, all of them are at least 4 inches taller than me.

Youngest brother full head of hair no signs of hairloss and his 35 now always receives compliments on his hair.

Oldest brother hung on to mid 30’s before he buzzed down. Norwood 4 now.

The brother with the best hair seemed to have the best life as well more girlfriends better job opportunities..

Yet another person supporting my third sibling theory. Seems to be a common pattern that the 3rd sibling is always ineffected by hairloss.

He has autism.
We are both pale and receeding.

My brother was NW4 at 22 and I was NW2 at 25. He's like almost an NW5 and I'm NW3 now with diffuse thinning, but I've been using minoxidil and nizoral for years, he never cared to do anything about it. I take more after my mom, and her dad is almost 80 and only an NW3 with some thinning, my brother takes after my dad who was NW7 at 30. There's a lot of genes at play here.

I'm an only child however interesting things to note in other family trees. So far my mom's and dad's tree have relentless and unforgiving baldness. My mom's family tree balds by 15-20 and dad's family tree by 30.

My dad's real brother also managed to marry into a bald family tree. Now both my younger cousins are losing their hair (seem to be using mustard oil wtf?). I find it baffling not once, but twice, my grandfather/mother managed to integrate our bald family tree with another.

It wasn't even a love marriage ffs where I could understand, purely arranged. Guess there is a special place in hell for people like this.

The eldest of my father's sister got again married into a bald tree, her daughter seems to be thinning diffusely (23). Only the younger sister (who was the naughtiest) got a golden family tree. Her kids (35,34) still have teenage density, and their father has glorious nw0 hairline.

Oh well back to my suffering.
