personally, I dont intend on switching to proscar, even though i probobly should cause im broke as a joke right now. I just prefer to pay the extra for the brand stuff cause its easier to use, and comes in an exact 1mg dose.

As for naturalhair.co.uk its real easy to order it from them. You fill out a small registration form to become a customer, then just order it as per any shopping site. I don't remember even having to fill out a perscription form. The prices they charge are the best ive seen, and they INCLUDE first class posting and packaging aswell.

They send you an e.mail to confirm your order. Then they send you another e.mail to confirm when it has been shipped. So you know its gonna be arriving the next day. The propecia comes in a small cardboard box which the packets of propecia +documentation sit in nicely and the postman just pops it through the letterbox for you.

If you do order from them be sure to save your order number, because they give special discounts to returning customers.

hope that helps.

Firstly, thankyou very much for your help, and I apologise for asking one more little thing...

Erm, on NH.co.uk, do you mean Proscar isn't the 'genuine' article, or do you steer clear of it because it's difficult to cut it up or something?

Taking a drug purposely manufactured for hairloss treatmeant sits better with me than taking a drug manufactured to treat prostate hyperplasia and cutting it up.

Im more than aware that the medications are exactly the same but my minds more at ease taking the fda approved Merk stuff, i don't really know why.

Im a wierdo though.

No no, merely misunderstood...like Jason....Michael.....and that phycotic little hobbit!

Thanks for all the information!

By the by, how long have you been taking the tablets, and how long was it since you first noticed your hairloss before you took steps to do something about it?

Proscar and Propecia are exactly the same thing. Just proscar is a pain in the *** as no matter how well you cut it you wont get `exactly` the same dosage all the time. I would use propecia but my libido suffers when i go above 0.80mg which is why i cut proscar into 6ths. And it tis el cheapo compared to propecia. If you can afford it propecia is the way to go.

Again, thanks for information.

Do you think hair WILL grow back with proscar/propecia?

Granted, it's individual, but the "worst" (relative term) area of hair loss is my frontal hairline (vellue hairs at the forefront) and sides of my hairline which have receded a bit, leaving an area of progressivly thinning hair which reminds me of where my hair USED to grow to (it's mocking me!!!).

And, though I have comparativly little loss at the vertex, i'm eager to grow/thicken up my frontal hair...so would I have any success with finasteride [and..is it T/Gel?]?

One FINAL (!) question...

On natural-hair.co.uk you can choose from 6 amounts of proscar. One set have UK 28 tablets, the others have 30 per month. Is there a reason for this, and I presume they're still guine Merck products?

Non-U.S. made pills sometimes use 28 for a month inst. of 30. It's still probably genuine Merck but produced in a non-U.S. Merck facility.

I reckon,

28 pill packs are designed around a 4 week month (7x4=28)

30 pill packs are designed around a calender month (averaging 30)

that's just a guess though.

Ty,

What part of London are you from?

Just curious because I studied at LSE last year, and might be returning to London to continue further graduate studies.

Question about your regiment. Why are you taking Melatonin? Do you have a hard time sleeping? Generally people that don't get a lot of sun need it.

Thats not quite the case, meletonin is produced by the pineal gland in the absence of sunlight, but I use it as an antioxidant, it's right up there with alpha lipoic acid. You are right it is mainly used for various forms of insomnia, especially sleep onset (which I used to occasionally get), but like a lot of suppliments people on the forum use, it has other functions.

Very good for your brain and for your skin, reduces the risk of a number of degenarative diseases, boosts immune function, inhibits cancer cell prolifiration, and slows biological aging. Its cheap and most importantly you can get it in apple flavour.
