I don't think that this study will be applicable to men. There would need to be further testing.

Two reasons. First is women's HPG axis respond to feedback by producing estrogens, like what Ein said. They could have simply leveled out naturally.

Second is the timing of the measurements. Here's a quote from the study:

Because patients in this study applied the cream at bedtime and blood samples were obtained during routine (daytime) clinic hours which resulted in a minimum of an 8 hour interval, the serum values in this study are likely not representative of maximum systemic values.

That kind of mis-timing could easily cause sides in men that wouldn't be noticable in women. There could be systematic absorption that was missed by the timing, and in a man that would lead to gyno and whatnot.

I spotted that too and you might be right but lets assume after being asorbed in the scalp a portion of it goes systemic, lets say 50%. How much would it affect you systemically. How much can 25 micrograms of estradiol effect you when the starndard dosing for mtf or hrt is 1-4mg

so if we take the 2mg daily oral dose and compare it 25 micrograms, thats 80x less than the oral dose, if we use 4mg thats 160x less, if we use 1mg thats 40x less.

Now Im not sure. I used some stats that the lowest healthy range for estradiol for men 20pg/ml. If we assume 5L of blood thats 100,000pg in a mans body which is 0.1microgram. Im not really sure if I believe this number. In fact I dont really. If that was the case men using any topical estradiol would immediatly notice intenese side effects to the point where it would be unbearable because systemic estradiol would increase by like a 1000x.

I think I did the calculation wrong. I have used estradiol at 0.4mg per day and not had any side effects even tho according to the calc that would be 4000x the male levels of estradiol. Again I think I did something wrong.

I think by using a dosage much lower than the oral like 60-120x lower you can avoid side effects
