Are The Any Reasons To Be Optimistic That We Will Hve An Alternative To finasteride Until 2030?

f*** 2030

I want something new in 5 years max

I'm tired of taking finasteride and ruining my body and hormones, and I'm doing it for 6 years already

But yes, I think we will definitely get some new effective treatment before 2030. Judging by the clinical trial pipelines, there are big chances that we will get something before 2025, let alone 2030.

Maybe not a complete cure but at least an alternative to finasteride and minoxidil

Hell, even if we could get something that works like finasteride + minoxidil but without their side effects, I would be satisfied

CB-03-01 (Breezula) sounds like just the thing, and it seems like the trials are going steadily and it's supposed to be out on the market in early 2020's, more specifically in 2022 according to Cassiopeia's pipeline

In 2019 - 2020 they plan to release Winlevi i.e CB-03-01 for acne. Maybe it will also work for hairloss to some extent, who knows?

I can understand people being disappointed about the Brotzu-situation and losing hope in science, however, the Brotion had snake oil written on it even when it started. The whole story was absurd, some Italian doctor with expertise in some other field suddenly comes up with the "magical solution" that professional, dedicated companies could not deliver. If it sounds too good to be true..

Of course, everybody had the hope that something better was shown at the conference in Naples, but the fact that there wasn't shouldn't set people back too much. Legitimate companies such as PureTech and Shiseido should be taken more seriously.

Real talk guys..

After the botzu disaster i want nothing but the hard cold truth

I think there will be something new before 2030, but I would keep realistic expectations on what this new thing will do. I would not expect much better then minoxidil or finasteride.
Well we would have had a real topical finasteride 20 years ago, but men voted for oral because it was more convenient to use. So you dont like changing your hormone levels? Blame other men for wanting oral. Although its debatable whether the topical one would have went systemic and did the same thing anyway

The worst thing to do is imagine how blissful the state of not ever having had to worry about hair loss would be relative to how you feel now. If you wanna get real depressed, spend 15 minutes ruminating on this.

Lol, I think about this daily. My roommate has perfect NW0 blond hair. He complains that it's flat and takes long to style. I told him about finasteride and my struggles with hair loss; he said "we're all dealt the cards we are in life", then proceeded to tell me about how his nut allergy is comparable to my aesthetic displeasure because it's prohibitive in some ways.

Edit: I'm just so tired of worrying about it. It's legitimately all I think about. I'm 24 and most of my friends have perfect hair. They don't get it. I research for probably 14 hours a day to understand more about hair loss science. I'm exhausted. I spend 2+ hours a day on my regimen. I want this pain to stop.

I'd rather have a serious disease that was curable for exactly that reason -- it's curable. Androgenetic Alopecia is torture.

You know, it might be deluded of me, but can someone just break in here with a "Yes! There's something positive to look forward to this year!" Brotzu being a bust is one thing, but the fact that it was all there was to hope for manifesting in a tangible way for the foreseeable future is just wretched.

That's what the posts have been for like the last decade.
