Then why do so many older members here swear that doctors Lees minoxidil was the best ever? I understand that retinoic acid is probably better than azelaic acid. Does azelaic acid do anything good for the skin? I hear the stuff is antibacterial and helps clean pores. I tryed some only a few times awhile back and my skin got really red for about a minute.
Good question. I don't want to overstate the negatives. Azelaic Acid is purportedly effective for some and perhaps more so combined with minoxidil but not like finasteride is. Often when two meds are combined it is all but impossible to discern which med is causing gains. Here, I believe that the high levels of minoxidil were key as virtually no one back then had thought of drinking topical minoxidil then, as I do now. The spironolactone/azelaic formulas were exciting to all of us since there was little else but five percent minoxidil by then. I ordered from him a few times until he got shut down which seemed unfair targeting but doctors preserve their monopolies within states via the FDA quite often.

I haven't tried it on my skin but I use retin-A on my entire scalp, face and neck, along with Estrogel and microneedling and the effects are fantastic both for hair and complexion. I strongly recommend it.

Could you make your own azelaic acid mixes like you can do with RU? Like just drop 3 grams of AA into a 60 mL minoxidil bottle and get a 5% minoxidil and AA solution?
Azelic Acid I not soluble in the PG found in Minoxidil . I tried it.

Bucky, I ordered some more minoxidil from Will Gaunitz. His shampoo is great and his minoxidil formulas address hair loss at many different angles. He is offering a 30 percent off the kit. The stuff has good ingredients in it. Check out his videos on youtube. He is very impressive to listen to.
Can you share the link?

Shameless, there where not a single study done with azelaic acid and Androgenetic Alopecia . As there was not with topical spironolactone, or topical dutasteride in males . Really a shame . If you have something that it works in acne and it is showing that inhibit DHT ( at least in vitro ) it is incredible that in more than 25 years there was not a single study done in humans with Androgenetic Alopecia and Azelaic acid. It may work, it may don't . You can't believe in the forums cause if it don't have the proper propaganda approved by the FDA it will tell you that it don't work .
Neither, much in Hair transplant clinics or hair loss clinics, now they want to sell you oral minoxidil like the a new thing, lol .

And it's not new, oral minoxidil, at all. Azelaic acid might be as effective as Keto, perhaps, which for many, isn't effective at regrowing hair at all but better for maintenance like all of the other male-approved meds, which subtracting now for minoxidil since it's clearly hormonal, amounts to microneedling, massage, diet, exercise and plenty of sleep. Gravity boots are really kind of dangerous if not mounting correctly I say.

Exactly . Ketoconazole cream, for example, it is extremly good . Did you saw the japanese study with the cream ? the before and after photos ? If not google it, it is very impressive. What I don't know and there is not any study, it is what happen with side effects, if it go systemic or not .
Even so, I don't understant why people use RU48... instead of Keto cream .
