Avodart dosage

The recommended dosage of Dutasteride / Avodart for treating Male Pattern Baldness is 2.5 mg per day. This amount has been demonstrated to block close to 100 percent of DHT that is responsible for hair loss. In most men, the medication will increase the number of scalp hairs and delay additional hair loss. Dutasteride / Avodart is not safe for women or children. As well, the capsules should not be handled by women who are pregnant or who are planning to become pregnant because of the potential risk of birth defects. The side effects of Dutasteride / Avodart are usually mild and disappear while on the medication. Impotence and decreased libido are the most common complaints.

apparently if you take five of the bad boys every day you can get 100% inhibition though i think if 0.5 a day doesnt work for you then the games up i certainly wouldnt ever take that much it would cost a fortune for a start.

hmm interesting stuff. my my thats insanely expensive. I wonder why it's so pricey? Is dutasteride in a Phase III trial at the moment?

I'm sure I saw a graph somewhere comparing different dosages of dutasteride vs a 5mg dose of finasteride, in terms of number of hairs grown.

0.5mg dutasteride was better than 5mg of finasteride, but 2.5mg dutasteride was significantly better still.

Damn expensive though, and a hardcore regimen to say the least! Is anyone on this board on 5 pills a day? Would be very interested to know how they tolerate it, I think I've got the beginnings of gyno off 1.25mg finasteride, so 2.5mg dutasteride can't be totally side-effect free... or can it?

all right,if avodart blocks 98.5 dht,why am i continuing to lose hair

you've been on avodart for not even 4 months. stop talking about it until 7 or 8 months. it can take a year to see results.

I thought 0.5mg per day but as half life is so long could take it much less frequently if there are some sides...like every other day or even every 3 days. I thought I might continue my 0.25mg of finasteride every 2 days then take a dutasteride and see how that goes...Gotta be some combination that works to stop this bloody hairloss.
